Title: comp program to help you sleep
Post by: Turf on July 01, 2010, 11:00:30 PM
Discovered this a few days ago and I've been quite impressed. It's definitely easier on the eyes at night and doesn't annoy the shit out of your roommates with a neon glow.

'F.lux fixes this: it makes the color of your computer's display adapt to the time of day, warm at night and like sunlight during the day.

It's even possible that you're staying up too late because of your computer. You could use f.lux because it makes you sleep better, or you could just use it just because it makes your computer look better.'

I have had sleep issues for many years and find that a little bit of relaxing music when I lie down helps. I do Pandora and type in Meditation. I was out like a light last night and slept 7 full hours without waking. I got up today had some tea and turned it on again, I feel clam ,happy and relaxed.  [thumbsup]

I just turn on the TV and set the sleep timer and turn the channel on to something that my brain won't engage and it ends up being nice white noise to fall away to.

I use a fan to sleep with and now have become a slave to it.  If I don't have one I can't sleep period.

Might try the relaxing music sometime.

Doug Stanhope has described best what it is like for me to try to sleep. No amount of soft music, counting sheep, etc. helps calm the make the beast with two backsing circus that is in my head. But booze helps A LOT.

Probably NSFW.
