Title: Changing Front Master Cyclinder Post by: cakeman on July 04, 2010, 12:33:36 PM Hi all, am toying with the idea of getting a bling master cylinder. I am wondering if the swap out is as easy as pinching the line to the front brakes so no fluid will leak out and swaping it that way?

Would any of you know of the top of your head, what size the oem resovouir is and if the replacement has to be the same volume? Install is easy should only take half hour or so. Depending on how they mount up and if you are using the bikini fairing it can be a little fiddly getting them to sit well/flat. Cheers Ummm, I don't want to shock you too much, so you might want to sit down. The link you posted, isn't, actually, a master cylinder. Just saying, is all. if it's just the fluid reservoir you're changing you could get a large turkey baster to suck out the fluid, then put fresh fluid back in. bet if you left a little in there you might get away with no bleeding as the air wouldn't go into the lines between the master cylinder and the caliper.
