Title: Annual San Diego trip transportation ideas Post by: RB on July 06, 2010, 08:05:28 AM So every year i have a business trip to San Diego, and every year i venture up to LA on the weekend to visit some friends. In the past I have taken the train, driven(rental car) and rented a bike(awful HD 883 Slugster). This year i have the same plan, but would like to here from some locals about some different options, perhaps cheaper.
Is bus an option? On the East Coast I can go from Baltimore to NYC for $20(Megabus.com) nice clean bus with wifi and electrical outlets. Anything like that exist? Thanks, also looking for some stuff to do, (local stuff no touristy junk). I went to bike night last year and will probably stop by this year also. Honestly I like to check out places the locals frequent, anti-tourist stuff, local music dive/hole in the wall joints. Been to the eldoradobar, heard there is another bar opened up called neighborhood, haven't been by there yet. The Duc rental is a bit pricey when you figure there is a two day minimum, and I am trying to save some money this trip. Don't get me wrong I would love to have a bike to ride while here, but the money makes me take the trolley. |
