Ahhhh... feels good. Sent my letter of resignation off to the hardly ever here boss, and on my way out to the next gig at the end of the month. Onward and upward!
What'd you do today?
Congrats! [thumbsup] Sounds like you have a plan in place. Now you have more time for arts and crafts. [laugh]
We'll see. Hopefully the commutes will be less, as there's more work from home and closer to home options. But I'm gonna be workin' for the man now and not a foo foo boutique place.
Quitting my last job felt so liberating. Congrats on moving on. [thumbsup]
and the streets of Shirlington will fill with awesomeness as Ian walks down the street like a king surveying all that he can see!
For some reason I got a image of you strutting down the street to the Bee Gees. ;D
Congrats Man!
I am a woman's man, with no time to talk.
Yeah, I was getting fed up here. It's been good, but becoming evident it's a dead end career wise. I've developed faster than the business and don't want to get ham strung... and the pay raise didn't hurt either. ;D
congrats.
I am looking fwd to being able to quit more than i am looking forward to gettign a diff job.
now i just need ppl to call me the hell back. even an interview would be nice right now.
I had a few dead ends and a no call back on the way. The no call back sucked as I really wanted that gig - it was doing user experience work for Thinkgeek which is HQ'd about 10 miles from me. Hullo dream job...
Yeah, I'm a big nerd... so? ;D

ZING!!
Getting "asked to leave" my last job was one of the best things to happen to me.
Just look at me now! I got a fancy semi-private shipping container for a house, a free gun, and all the bullets I can sign for!
It was a refreshing feeling when I left my former position and became ......................RETIRED at age 56.
Dolph :)
Congrats!
In this economy, that is rare. I think most of us are trying to hang on to what we got. So you're in pretty good shape [thumbsup] and yeah nerds rule the adult world so you're in good shape.
DoubleEagle - cool retire at young 56. That is something most of us strive for but I have a feeling won't luck out unfortunately.
MetalliMonster - "...strutting down the street to the Bee Gees" ha ha ha

Have two technically. I just have to start the other one.
I hope it'll be good - the company does has a reputation for burning out people - but I was scouted by a buddy of mine who hasn't lead me wrong yet. So I hope his record holds.

Our rules for this boy were no fire arms, explosives, booze, or porn may be given as gifts and no Jiu Jitsu in the house. She neglected non gun powder fired projectiles and Rugby in the house... I'm working the loop holes.

It's an avenue to explore.
Hmm wonder if I'm the start of a brain drain here. My buddy is disillusioned to and has said he might bail too... oh my my

That's me... an inspiring figure. I actually hope he does leave. He's under appreciated and under paid. But he's never worked any place else really so I think there's some fear of change
