Title: Tail Tidy / Fender Remover for 796? Post by: libertarian on July 13, 2010, 07:06:12 AM I picked up my new 796 on Saturday and I'm seriously in love.... But I don't know if it has the same fenders as the 696 or the 1100 when it comes to finding a way to get rid of the silly plastic tail.

Navigating the lock cable was a bit of a tricky proposition, but in the end it all came out ok. The existing Ducati tail has some very sharp edges in there, be careful!

My problem was I didn't know how to unplug the tail light, and found a better plug under the seat area.... but you pull up on the little tab on the plug and I was constantly trying to push down!!! Made sense at the time [bang]
