Hello guys,
Strange thing happened to the bike today. I was riding over an intersection that is like a small hill and when I was on top of it, the bike just died - stalled, no lights etc.
When I stopped I noticed that the only electrical things working is the license plate light, rear light and the red blinking indicator on the instrument panel.
Checked fuses and the one that is last on the right side in the box was dead. Changed it and it blew again. I don't have the manual here at this house so I can't check what exactly it is. Any ideas if it's an easy fix or should it go straight away to the dealer?
Cheers
PS. Found an online user manual and it appears to be "Key ON" fuse ???
Have you fitted anything new electrically lately? LED turnsignals?? Horn? Anything?
Look under the seat and see if the wire harness has shorted to ground through one of the metal loops that hold the harness to the sub-frame, happened to me on my 1100. I had the same symptoms plus a burning wire smell. >:(
