Title: Flip oil cooler Post by: hackers2r on July 15, 2010, 02:25:08 AM I swear I've seen it on here. Is there a writeup on moving the oil cooler below the head? If not, what all is involved? I think it would look pretty neat. Thanks.

Title: Re: Flip oil cooler Post by: ducatiz on July 15, 2010, 02:45:49 AM No idea.
That photo is a factory setup for a 199x 900ss. My point was, go pick up an oil cooler and lines from one of those off ebay and you are done. You just need the valve head cover to mount it. Very cut and dry. If you look at that picture and squint, it looks like a Monster. Same engine, wheels, brakes, forks.. yeah, the seat & tank are different, but trust me on this... :D Title: Re: Flip oil cooler Post by: Drunken Monkey on July 15, 2010, 06:56:04 AM For the 900s you just use, as suggested, a 900ss valve cover.

I just got a set of used 749 lines, but any lines off a 900ss will work provided they are the right size to attach to the cooler (AN-6, I believe) And even if they don't fit, adapters are cheap. |
