Post by: killerpenguin on July 15, 2010, 02:54:53 PM
will the leo vince carbon cans off my m750 work on my m900? would they provide proper back pressure and everything? I was hoping to must change the cans out. also would I be able to fit a 180 rear on the 97 m900?

It was my experience with my 1997 M900 that pipe changes made almost no difference in engine behavior, it just sounded faster.  I tried out all combinations of stock pipes, Ducati Performance straight-through pipes, and modified stock pipes with stock airbox and open airbox (with rejetting).  The only thing I noticed was that there was maybe one or two more horsepower above 6000 rpms or so.  This was based on how long it could hold the front wheel one foot off of the ground in first gear, not anything measured.  I never noticed the need for different jetting with pipe changes.
