sorry my photobucket was acting up.
I was proud of this dinner special tonight..was also served as mahi mahi.  We also served fried catfish tacos w/ spicy ranch and vinegar slaw, and open faced turkey sandwich w/ gravy and collards.  Sometime I forget how much I like working in the kitchen

I made a really good egyptian fava bean dip as an appetizer. I posted the recipe on my new blog: www.thebrokenhousewife.blogspot.com (//http://)

it turned out pretty tasty.

Late lunch, we skipped dinner because we were still full.  I made five racks of spareribs on the Big Green Egg using home made rub, mopping sauce and BBQ sauce.  To go with it I made Boston Baked Beans from scratch and cucumber salad from homegrown cukes and dill.  Guests brought some nice salads, dessert and exotic beers ;D

brix821, that looks damn delicious and classy [thumbsup]

Man, I've got to get back down there to grub again... And hopefully your missus won't be under the weather this time.

I've been wanting to check out his spot as well.  Can't wait for the KTM to get here, as I don't want to entertain riding the SC that far on the slab...

Maybe not tonight, but I want to cook this. Is it just me, or is the picture somewhat........suggestive.

Skewered shrimp marinated in Sriracha sauce on the grill

Pan seared sea scallops cajun dusted

Grilled mixed onions green/red/yellow peppers zukes and tomatoes marinated in balsamic vinegar

Soba linguine with garlic and oil

I do something like this once a week for the wife since she has to leave the house to work..all pretty lo-cal cooking

(me? I'd rather have a slab of prime rib, baked potato drowning in sour cream and a yorkshire pudding)

Grilled Alaskan King Salmon over here tonight.  But what to have with it......  roasted veggies (no potatoes), hmmm.....  still time to figure that out.  Welcome to suggestions though (besides risotto).

Asparagus marinated in teriyaki sauce and scorched on open grill...experience has taught me you have to lay them across the grill grate   :D

San Marzano tomato Gazpacho on a bed of Manchego and Sherry croutons. Topped with Red pepper confit and an Ajo Blanco Foam. Garnished with homegrown sun dried tomatoes and paired with a fresh avocado.

I love living with an amateur molecular gastronomist  ;D
