Title: recommendations - high mount to new low mount slipons Post by: redxblack on July 19, 2010, 04:14:01 PM I have high mount MIVVs on my M900i.e. and want to go with low mounts. I keep seeing D&D brand slip-ons for a very decent price, but I know NOTHING about them. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd be willing to buy used if I could find them. I want to be budget conscious since I'll need to remap the PCIII.

I personally LIKE the highmounts (and they sound GREAT), but I also like to ride two up which makes these inconvenient. It's either get low mounts OR also buy a gt-1000 (the choice I'd prefer but the wife would kill me). If a trade doesn't work out, I'll totally pass these on in the parts for sale forum as I really don't want/need them.
I'm thinking of either arrow or two brothers slip ons. I'm not one of those people who get terribly excited about CF bling, but the CF on these MIVV cans look nice. I do have the db killers for them. I'd be fine with aluminum cans. They hit only a few degrees after my knee. So the one has a hole wore thru it and the other is on its way.

A local here picked up an S4 with some and they lived up to the appellation. They were loud, dare say louder than Termis and did not sound good at all.

That's what I was hoping to hear before I dropped a few dollars on something. You saved me some $. I'm going to call two brothers and see if I can get some cans on order. My brother has a set on his 750 i.e. and I really like the sound - throaty but not obnoxiously loud.
Someone in the parts for sale forum has a set of MIVV high mounts exactly like mine. I think he wanted $600 for his. I absolutely love the sound of Arrow cans. I think they are the best compromise between Loudness and Low Growl. [thumbsup]
