is not advisable......
but it sure as hell turns a frown upside down.
I wuvs my bike.
get off your knees you're embarrassing yourself.
and you might get arrested for indecency.
and why do you keep calling LM your bike?
I object!
I so need to get knee pucks and join in the fun.
Maybe I should just duct tape some crushed soda cans on for now.
Which would spark more colorfully, orange or Mountain Dew?
I've only done it once on the street...almost crashed as I didn't know what was happening. Next time try using leather pucks:
They smoke up and smell like bacon after a good thrashing.
I suppose it's time to revisit a run of custom pucks... we started that on TOB an then it sort of petered out as lots of folks said yes but not really. DMF pucks anyone?

I'm game.
I'd probably take a set. What did they cost last time?
the quote was high and was for something like 100 pairs....anyone got A and G contact info? I'll send them a DMF logo and see.
I'm in!
now that I can actually use them [laugh]
hell yea, i'm in
'm in too...
knee pucks help keeping us old guys from tipping.
I cant find A and G anywhere. need contact info and will start project.
I can lean real good but so far only drag my boot sliders.
I don't know if being 6'5", 245, makes it harder to drag a knee.
After 2 bad crashes I've slowed down a bit.
I seem to be able to go around corners as fast as I want !
I just hang off and kiss that inside hand and lead w, my belly.
What other need is there on the street for Knee draggin' ?
Dolph
Maybe it's where I ride, but there are far too many bicycles, cars and wild animals near the tarmac for me to even attempt to drag a knee on the street. I get it leaned over pretty well on the road, but not that far over. Maybe I'm overcautious. YMMV
Redx - Use your knee pucks to take out squirrels on the road edge ~
JM
Cant say I would be willing to risk going over that low. Now, I know you can get a knee down while going VERY slow around a corner. Maybe thats what you're all talking about.
but if you're actually moving at a race-pace on the street.... :o ....too many variables. Sketchy paving, cinders you cant adjust for at that speed....to each his own

It's just a feeler for lean angle. I never drag a knee on the street, as I'm a pretty conservative street rider.
Dragging a knee is weird though. I just recently got to where I can do it regurlarly on the track...and it's easier in right hand corners for me...I'm more comfortable in rights for whatever reason.
Interestingly, I've passed people on the outside of corners before...they had a knee down, and I didn't. Some people can hang off like a monkey to touch their knee. I think being taller helps as well, as your legs are longer.
I just focus on trying to improve my body position and smoothness. Speed...and the knee down...come by themselves.

Can you drag a Knee without sliding your ass off the seat ?

Sure, the only problem is you will probably end up dragging hip, shoulder, helmet, and any other assortment of parts you didn't intend to while you roll to a stop.

Not without hanging off. You really do need to ensure proper body positioning to do so. It's a recipe for disaster to try to drag a knee without being properly positioned. Unless, of course, you're Kevin Schwantz; then you could use the proper body positioning textbook to wipe your ass.

Some have better flexibility and like to hang off more. I was about three seconds a lap faster than this other guy and my knee wasn't touching.

I'm short and I try not to drag my knee on the track. I've done it, but it felt weird and unneccesary. I would rather tuck it close to the bike. My huge ass hangs off so much I don't need to drag the knee to actually tip the bike over. On the street? I live in Florida, the land of no turns, so it won't happen.
get ass pucks
You mean hip pucks. I don't plan on landing on my ass any time soon.
