My dealer installed my barend caps but I'm having issue putting it back on after I took it off to adjust it.When I screw it back on it doesn't get tight anymore not sure what I'm doing wrong. The bar is the stock bar for a Ducati monster 1100. Also when i took out the barend there was only a cone spacer at the end of the screw and the screw.

you werent supposed to unthread it all the way. Just loosen, and pull everything out together. Sounds like you left the rubber and other cone in the bar. Take a peek in there, you'll maybe see the rubber piece. If you can pull that out the other cone might be behind it?

Crap that's what I though. Any easy way to take out the pieces? The hole is small so it's really hard to see in it. I think the cap fell in the back but not sure how far the rubber inside the bar goes.

Then once the rubbers out the metal piece will be easy.

if you cant fish it out, just cut the bar a few inches short of the end, push it out, and then use the grip over the bar to hold it back together.

I see the rubber piece and the end fell off. The rubber is really tight in there will a hanger be strong enough to pull the rubber out?

I dont know if the bars are hollow all the way thru. If so, take the other side out, drop the metal part, and put a new rubber in?

This happened to me, I used a paint can opener to pop the piece stuck in the bar out. I increased the bend in the hook and used a hammer to compress the end and make it fit inside the hole. Couple of tugs and out it came.

Yeah both sides are stuck or I would stick something long in and push it out. The hole in the rubber is really small not sure how you got that loop in that small hole to get to the other side of the rubber.

One of these worked great for me. 

Can the bolt reach the internal hardware if you remove the cap?  It should reach if you haven't pushed anything in.  Try screwing the bolt into the hardware without the cap attached and just pull everything out.

Steel rod with two inches doubled. Feed in, pull. I like the cork screw idea posted earlier too.
