Title: remove Arrow logo Post by: asherrick on July 27, 2010, 11:28:06 AM I'm really liking the Arrow exhaust for my 696 but cannot stand the look of their logo/badge on the cans. Has anyone tried to remove them? Looking at a set at my local shop it looks like the logo is riveted so I'm not sure how easy it would be...

not removed, but a link to a blacked out badge. Title: Re: remove Arrow logo Post by: asherrick on July 27, 2010, 02:33:51 PM Thanks! The blacked out logo looks better, just like the new Arrow 'dark' line. I'd still prefer to remove the logo if it's possible.
Title: Re: remove Arrow logo Post by: Bill in OKC on July 27, 2010, 06:29:51 PM He never said what he did to remove the paint from the logo. Does anyone know a good way? With my luck, I'd F* up the carbon fiber before I got my Arrow badge looking that good.

Title: Re: remove Arrow logo Post by: Ducatl on July 27, 2010, 09:03:09 PM Can you not just drill the rivets out and replace them with some black ones or something?
Title: Re: remove Arrow logo Post by: WhiteStripe on July 28, 2010, 05:49:36 AM I am 90% positive that all you have to do is drill out the rivets and it will come right off --- i am going to do this, just hasn't been a huge priority.
If you haven't drilled rivets it is VERY easy. If you can pick your nose you can drill out and re-rivet something. I was nervouse about taking off my endcaps as i had never worked that much with CF - it was seriously no problem at all. I am considering (1) taking it off and then filling the two holes with two black rivets; (2) painting the whole thing black, or (3) started to wonder if I could make the yellow black and the blue white (i have a black and white S2R1000). Honestly will probably go with #1. I absolutely HATE the way it looks on the bike. The only saving grace is that it matches my stock rear shock. If you drill before i do let me know if you encounter any adhesive or other challenges. Good luck. Ditto!Title: Re: remove Arrow logo Post by: avidrider on July 29, 2010, 12:16:01 PM yes you can simply drill the rivets out and put new rivets back in, or a custom plate. I just used a sharpie and made them black. You could barely tell they were there.
