Ok so I have a lot of question cause I don't know anyone who can answer any of them. Answer what you can PLEASEEE and I will appreciate it so much. I know some questions are dumb, I'm new to V twin and Ducati bikes.
When I'm in first and second letting out the clutch I hear a click sound like a roller coaster for a 2 seconds then it's done when I'm in the throttle. I don't hear it in the higher gears. I don't think it's a broken sound, I'm used to my last inline and just want to know the sounds I'm hearing. Normal for a older monster or may this be a problem? My bike shifts perfect and I don't grind gears ever.
I replaced my fender eliminator and the turn signals don't blink left and right, now it's both like a hazard signal. I know the cables are in correctly. Is it a ground or a relay?
I have one front brake, and it looks like the rim has a removable piece if I want another one and the fork has the holes for the brake too. Much of a upgrade or what? (http://i444.photobucket.com/albums/qq161/TrevOwnz89/duc.jpg)
If I get the upgrade Brembo Radial levers will my clutch not be as heavy?
Can a '99 Monster have a RPM gauge without a lot of modding.
What are these rearsets and where can I get themmmm

I need a new clutch cover and I was wondering about how much or how difficult "would" it be to go to dry clutch. Got to love the sound and look
Any good threads on moving the disc break to the top of the swing arm?
Me and my brother were riding to my Dads house and he has a SV 650. I know I'm horrible at speed shifting on this bike, I'm not completely used to it and the weight of the clutch but it feels like even for a 750 I was to slow and should have pulled away from him on the straight a way's. He was on my ass the whole time.
I can't find a replacement fuel tank sensor.
Where can I find these neat straps and stabilizer. I LOVEE this guys monster and I want to find some of these mods. (http://i444.photobucket.com/albums/qq161/TrevOwnz89/30.jpg)
Also is there a way to tighten the throttles play? It has to much for my taste I'm used to new bikes and how little they have and how much they snap back when you let go.
How do I reset the MPH on my gauges. I want to measure my MPG and distances to places.
Front brake is easy enough. New rotor, caliper, and "y" brake line
It is possible to convert to a dry clutch but it's costly. You may be able to find a used M900 motor that would bolt up. IIRC, all of the electrical bits, hoses, and carbs from the 750 can be used on the 900 motor. If you want the open clutch that bad it's easier to sell your bike and try to get you hands on a 900.
As far as the rear brake goes, I think its as easy as rotating the mount to the top. You may need a shorter brake line.
I haven't seen too many fuel sensors either. I've seen a couple here and on Ebay. Check with some of the sponsors to the left. They might be able to get one for you and some of them offer discounts for forum members. Try Ducati Seattle and California Cycleworks.
The straps came as stock tie downs to hide the wiring. Probably wont find too many of those. I think most people have gone with zip ties.
Hope some of this helps.
Thanks that does. I figured the dry clutch would be over costly or to much work. I hope to find the ties off a strip bike on ebay or something.
Hope other people help answer questions :)
Keep an eye out on the "parts for sale" section. You should be able to find a few things there.
congrats on the bike. looks very cool
one thing i might suggest is break up your questions. some are technical, some are mods, others general question.
but most of the things you asked about are in the site already including tips, costs, and even some tutorials.
learn to use the search. it's quirky sometimes for me too.
i'll try to give some feedback on most of the questions you have
brakes. check in the parts for sale, you'll see them sometimes
straps. a salvage bike or stop by a local shop
steering damper. again parts for sale
clicking sound. does it feel like the clutch is dragging? maybe you need to adjust your clutch lever.
dry clutch. there are kits out there that cost a bit. but there are ways to do it cheaper. google dry clutch conversion for ducati and you'll see the kits and at least one tutorial. the one i've seen is detailed enough to help you get a good idea of a cheaper way to do it
new clutch cover. your side engine case IS the clutch cover and you might be able to ebay one of those. what's wrong with yours?
clutch pull. try a new slave cylinder first. some of them reduce pull by as much as 30% they say.
throttle play. check your cable adjustment at the throttle grip area. also lube up your return springs. when mine were not they would stick open. which is NOT fun
rear brake. you have to buy a new mounting bracket. you can't rotate it. BUT most people who have a high one look for a low one, so maybe there's a way to swap.
rearsets. again parts for sale. but check around with some of the sponsor sites. motowheels has a good selection.
trip odometer. i can't remember if my '99 had that option. there are a lot of people on here that have them still and can help
Oh thanks a million. Now that I think about it I did pull the clutch in a little. I will put it farther out and see if that fixes it. I hope I didn't do damage :-\. The problem with my current clutch cover is the guy I bought the bike from wayyy over did the sensor and stripped it bad so my mech had to do a tape/glue fix but that is a short term fix so I need a new clutch cover in the next couple months, not a big deal.
The main problems that have to be fix on the bike atm are... New tank the one is unfixable with rust, new ignition/key set up, tail light, and needles/carb tune. Not much to do but enough. Thanks for the help guys that is most of the questions I needed. The big one was the clicking, I didn't want to hurt the gears or clutch unknowingly.
Let's see, first I will start with the brakes. Unless you are going on the track, IMO, twin discs are not worth the cost unless you want the bling of a bigger bike. New fluid and better pads are what you need. Still want more? Iron disc and a better master.
If you want a tach you might want to check these out. Costly, but you maintain the original instrument cluster.

IMO, your bike does not need a tach either. You will run out of power well before red line.
As far as your clutch noise goes...ummmm....dunno. Get someone you trust locally to hear it. Could be nothing, serious or in between, can't tell on the internet.
Convert to a dry clutch? Can be done, a lot of money, a lot of work. Easier to buy a bike with a dry clutch. If the wet clutch is difficult for you, you will probably not be happy with a dry clutch anyway. If you have the OEM slave cylinder, replacement with an aftermarket will help with the pull
Search the board about the directionals. Also post what are on your bike. You probably will either use an electronic flasher or add resistors and maybe diodes, each case is different.
Ducati went from those straps to wire ties in a few years after they made your bike. You could post up in parts wanted.
For steering dampers, etc check out our sponsors on the left.
Yes, that SV 650 will kick your but in a drag race. Air cooled 2 valve verses water cooled 4 valve. This is not what Ducatis are about.
Do you have service records? If your belts are two years old or have over 12K miles on them they need to be changed. If the brake fluid is over one year old it need to be changed. Tires over 5 years old? Them too. This is where you should start.
Oh, there should be a knob on the side of the speedo. Turn it.
If you pull back the boots on the throttle cables at the twist grip you will see the adjustment. Unlock the lock nuts and adjust free play to 2-4 mm.
Ok confusing problem. I'm fairly good with electronics but my signals don't work right. I took them off and put them back on but when I try to indicate both left and right flash. If I unplug any one single signal they work but when all four are connected it doesn't. I heard monsters don't like LED but what kind of adapter or switch do I need to fix the problem.
Not a problem with LED. I have a 99 m750 and went all LED. They wouldn't flash at all. Needed resistors, like $5 at radio shack. let me know if you need more info on that.
I'm a bit of an electronics junkie, and it sounds to me like you have a couple wires shorted together.
