As I am considered the most ego maniac and self-centered member, even though multiple people post about divorces, new jobs, pictures of themselves, etc.
i thought i'd post a personal accomplishment.
i got admission letter today from Ohio-Domnican for acceptance into their MBA Program. It is 21 months, 4 hours per week, from a fully accredited university.
Not sure how I feel about going back to school as I passed on a few law school admissions two years ago, but I figured the MBA is better for what I want to do in my life.
Not to mention.........I've had all these classes before as I was a finance major from not an easy university program, so it should be a breeze.
So self-centered ego maniac Jud posts a thread about himself and a proud accomplishment in my life:

Not something I want to do, Dolph, but pretty much required to have those three letters after your name in my industry. What a joke.

great idea for furthering career. congrats and good luck.
you realy don't get how the editorials in your post make you look do you. Like truly don't understand. (and you're 100% off base with the ego thing).
why do you ad them versus just posting about the school?

Thanks for the congrats and good luck. I have been battling with choosing a career path suitable to what i want to do, but with most of us......we never really figure out what we want to do and those that do, are lucky. Last I read, the average person goes through six different career changes in their lifetime. I remember a professor saying it, so i have no idea if it was true or not.
I got into a few law schools, but I would have had to completely stop working and go to school full-time. Sure, I could have done the night classes, but it would have taken me years to complete. I was going to go year round like my brother did so I could finish in 2.5yrs. Money would have been tight and i decided it wasn't the best option. I believe i recall that you and your wife made this sacrifice when you both were pursuing your JD and her PA (or is it a nurse practitioner? I can't remember. I have a lot of respect for you both. I just wasn't "strong" enough to do it.
i am sort of glad I didn't go to law school as I have heard the job market (at least around here) absolutely is awful for recent law school graduates. So I guess in all, it was a good decision.
As for my post............I just played into the obvious response I would have been given by some people. It was purely posted as humor and nothing more. I suppose my posts come across that way, but in my real life i am the opposite. Not really sure why, but oh well. Doesn't matter. I just used "ego" as being as a "all about me" expression; might have used it wrong, who knows.
Mother - Yes, my parents are proud of me......now. I have grown up with a lot of pressure to get a Masters degree due to my Father's life accomplishments and the professions of my brother's. It has put a lot of stress in my life which I don't need and now finally my Mom will get off my back.

Thanks, dude. My wife goes to class on Monday's for 4hrs and will finish this winter. My classes are 4hrs on Wednesday's, so at least we have one day in between to spend evenings together. I am most concerned with homework and work, but
I'll figure it out when the time comes here in a few weeks.

shit, the only way to get more money is to find a new job. I could show up to work tomorrow with a MBA after my name and I wouldn't get shit other than a "good job."

Only after my name on my work signature and on business cards will those three letters go. It doesn't mean anything else in the world.
It seems to be the norm that a MBA is the new bachelors degree in the business world. [bang]

I am actually not worried about the course work at all.
I have seen the curriculum and I have already had all the classes in college.
Not to toot my own horn, but Butler University is a bit harder than Ohio Dominican...........
I would have rather gone to Ohio State Fisher College of Business for my MBA (which I did get admitted), but for several reasons I didn't go and some are completely worthless:
1. I'd shoot myself if I ever had an Ohio State Degree. Oh wait........The Ohio State University.
2. The class schedule wasn't ideal for our life (wife included as that was considered in my decision)
3. Ohio Dominican campus I will go to is about 1.5 miles from my condo.

I was fortunate enough to meet him at Daytona Bike week a few years ago when he was living in Boca or wherever it was. It's hard to keep track of him.
