Title: 1100 needs new pipes/mods Post by: IZ on August 08, 2010, 05:42:33 PM Decisions..decisions! What do you all think?
I've narrowed it down to 1. Leo Vince GP in aluminum (http://www.motowheels.com/italian/images%5Csm160428820.jpg) (http://www.ca-cycleworks.com/shop/catalog/ducati/img/lv_696_8135.jpg) or 2. Zard in titanium (http://www.ca-cycleworks.com/shop/catalog/ducati/img/zard-monster696.jpg) (http://www.desmoworks.com/images/zard-monster696-3.JPG) Does anyone have either one of these exhausts? If I go for the Leo Vince's, I'll have some extra cash for a new.. SpeedyMoto clutch cover (middle) (http://www.ca-cycleworks.com/shop/catalog/ducati/img/sm_10spoke_multi.jpg) and a Rizoma pressure plate in black with silver springs. Sooooo of the 2, I'd be goin' for the Leos. But hey, its your bike :).
Whichever way you go, your new cans would surely benefit from being mated up to a DP Racing ECU (as supplied with the M1100 Termi slipons). Strangely.... ;D ;D I just happen to have one of those very DP Racing ECUs available. PM me if its of any interest. If you sell it before hand though..no worries. Ryan Racer's exhaust at H Competition and CF MIVV Suono Mivv Suono withOUT DB Killers (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeliza43Cxg&feature=related#normal) I didn't want any CF on this bike but these look cool and are loud!! ^^ Title: Re: 1100 needs new pipes/mods Post by: dennisd on August 09, 2010, 05:15:43 AM My vote is for the Leo Vince; they give the rear of the bike a cleaner look. And you can do the open clutch as a bonus; what's not to love.
Title: Re: 1100 needs new pipes/mods Post by: 00Kevin on August 09, 2010, 04:52:54 PM Out of the Leo's or Zards, i vote Leo's. I think they're very sleek and clean looking. The zards to me look chunky and overweight. I really like the Mivv's as well though. It's not easy picking an exhaust. I still haven't figured out what I want on mine yet!! :-\
Title: Re: 1100 needs new pipes/mods Post by: herm on August 09, 2010, 07:44:14 PM it would be better if you could find a picture of the pipes on the SSS... but i would vote for the leo's myself (i think.)
Title: Re: 1100 needs new pipes/mods Post by: golgofett on August 09, 2010, 10:43:51 PM Who has the CF Mivv Suono's for sale right now? Seem hard to find. I have been eyeing exhausts for my 696 now 1100 for 2 years. I think those are the sharpest ones I have seen. Sound mean too.

I'm have a tough time making the choice! I love those LV's too! Can't seem to find a pic anywhere other than one with the SSS and aluminum pipes. ??? Who has the CF Mivv Suono's for sale right now? Seem hard to find. I have been eyeing exhausts for my 696 now 1100 for 2 years. I think those are the sharpest ones I have seen. Sound mean too. Yes, they do!! They're nearly double the price for the Leo Vince though. Title: Re: 1100 needs new pipes/mods Post by: emanon on August 10, 2010, 02:58:46 PM You will not be disappointed with the H Competition exhaust; clean look, tremendous weight savings, great sound.
I think you have seen my thread with the pics here: http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=41219.0 (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=41219.0) Title: Re: 1100 needs new pipes/mods Post by: IZ on August 10, 2010, 08:11:52 PM You will not be disappointed with the H Competition exhaust; clean look, tremendous weight savings, great sound. Yeah, saw your thread. That's what got me looking at that exhaust again! I spoke to Ryan before. Title: Re: 1100 needs new pipes/mods Post by: IZ on January 08, 2011, 06:17:30 PM Highmount CF MIVVs and open clutch cover are being ordered at the end of the month! [evil]
Since the lil' one is coming this summer, this will be the last big purchase for the bike for about the next.. .. .. 18 years! :) Title: Re: 1100 needs new pipes/mods Post by: OBNOXS on January 09, 2011, 03:45:04 PM I have that Speedymoto clutch cover, unused collecting dust. It's yours for 120 shipped.
Title: Re: 1100 needs new pipes/mods Post by: sbrguy on January 09, 2011, 05:36:23 PM leo vince pipes and take off the yellow sticker on them and you have one really slick looking set of exhaust cans that look much better than anything out there.
Title: Re: 1100 needs new pipes/mods Post by: IZ on January 09, 2011, 05:45:24 PM Yeah, those Leo GP's were the first pipes I was checking into. They're half the price and look/sound great. My 620 has a set of stainless steel Sil so I want CF on the 1100. Plus, haven't seen the MIVV on the road yet. [thumbsup]
Title: Re: 1100 needs new pipes/mods Post by: Raux on January 09, 2011, 09:06:01 PM did you check out the semi-official exhaust thread for 696/1100
there's a kick ass full system 2-1 for the 1100 out there. Thanks for the heads up. It sounds & looks pretty good. http://www.youtube.com/ScProjectChannel?gl=IT&hl=it (http://www.youtube.com/ScProjectChannel?gl=IT&hl=it) I still prefer the balance of the two Mivv pipes though. They seem to hang fairly low too.
