Title: Brake Pressure Switches vs Micro Switch
Post by: Raux on August 09, 2010, 05:41:06 AM
ok,

need a solution for my rearset

either a M8 x 1.0 halfheight nut to mount the stock microswitch

or go with a

Banjo pressure switch

advice?

microswitches are more reliable, banjo switches are easier.

or remember your rear brake won't activate the light.

we have one bike with pressure switch and one with nothing.

I'm running a pressure switch on my M1100.  No issues.  A little brake bleeding and you're good to go.

How often do you use the rear without also using the front?

I went to a pressure switch after changing rearsets on my Aprilia.  It has stopped working after a couple of years.  I like to trail brake and the brake light sometimes messes with people following me through turns.  I have bought a replacement switch, just not sure if I want to replace it.
