Title: My bike in the garage, got a replacement bike :) Post by: Edward_Wolf on August 11, 2010, 07:34:08 PM My Monster 796 is at the dealer for some new paintings, got me a replacement bike a Ducati streetfighter (stockmodel). Omg what a power, I do like this bike. They can keep mine Monster, I'll keep this one :D. This bike will be me next bike (when I have some money to but it ofc).
When I saw the new monster model last year a fell in love at the first glimp of it, with a streetfight I didn't had that feeling. But after a few days of driving ... power, steering it all feels so good Title: Re: My bike in the garage, got a replacement bike :) Post by: Heath on August 11, 2010, 07:40:36 PM Wait they gave you a streetfighter for a loaner?

YEAH, i could choose between a HM 796, HM 1100s or the Streetfighter. :D Title: Re: My bike in the garage, got a replacement bike :) Post by: Raux on August 11, 2010, 08:11:27 PM Belgium right? hmm only 4 hrs.. maybe i can get my service done there.

But I did got every checkup a replacement bike, 2 times a 696 and now the demo streetfighter bike, next it will be the HM 1100, just wanna try them all. Title: Re: My bike in the garage, got a replacement bike :) Post by: Edward_Wolf on August 11, 2010, 11:25:36 PM Who is this new bread of Ducatisi that likes (the look) of entire Ducati lineup including new Monsters? Anyhow, Cheers for you dude! They must really respect you over there. And they knew they were going to sell it to you as soon as you open the throttle on that SF ;D I'm in awe by good service from that dealership. I'm, I was, I will always be a Monster design fan, always love at first sight. Didn't had that feeling with a SF, but a SF needs some time to love it, to appreciate. But when I need to choose on looks is will always go for the Monster above the SF. Title: Re: My bike in the garage, got a replacement bike :) Post by: dennisd on August 12, 2010, 04:52:53 AM I know the Streetfighter has it all over my M1100 performance wise and I was considering one before I considered the M1100. I just couldn't get past that "Transformers" look the Streetfighter has and all the plumbing hardware. Don't get me wrong, if I found a killer deal on a SF I'd go for it but I'd keep the M1100.
The old vs new Monster argument will never end. I like classic bikes also but times change and IMO, progress has been made with the new Monster. He11, there's room for all of them; we don't need to argue about it. My next bike (in a few years) will be definitely a M1100s and not a SF (maybe my opinion will change in the years). Maybe the power of a SF engine in a Monster bike will be awesome

Title: Re: My bike in the garage, got a replacement bike :) Post by: geoffduc on August 12, 2010, 09:12:55 AM I wasn't a fan of the SF but after swopping bikes a couple of weeks ago with a buddy who has a SF I'm now in awe of the performance of the bike, much more power than either my S4Rs or HM1100s.
When following the SF the back end looks awesome as I'd installed a tail tidy and rizoma indicators which lifted the rear and high lighted the 190 tyre, now if they made a 848evo engined SF I just might exchange one of the bikes..
