Title: Seeking; Coffee Drinking Market Research Volunteers
Post by: Stella on August 14, 2010, 07:53:16 AM
From an industry colleague (note:  today, 8/14, is the last day to apply):

We are desperately trying to recruit TWO more families to give up drinking coffee out of those pesky unrecyclable disposable coffee cups as part of our Do the Reuse Challenge.

We're specifically looking for families in the Northeast, Northwest, or TX/AZ areas but will consider anyone anywhere. If you know someone that needs a little push to ditch their disposable habit, please pass this along.

Today is the last day to apply and it'll only take 5-10 minutes. Anyone who applies, even they don't end up getting chosen as a featured family, will receive a nice little thank you package with a bunch of cool reusable Aladdin product.

All the details are here. http://wearekickstand.com/recruiting-families-for-do-the-reuse-challenge/. (http://wearekickstand.com/recruiting-families-for-do-the-reuse-challenge/.)

Do we have to be a family with kids, cuz me and my wife are in AZ and would totally give up disposable coffee cups....the website asks how many kids, but doesn't specifically say you have to have kids

I just sent a message to my friend to confirm whether they have to have families w/or w/o kids.  Stay tuned!  If you don't see a reply from me here in the next few hours, I would go ahead and fill out the information indicating no children (no kids names, etc.).

Thanks!

Thanks again!

You're right:
"is recruiting 9 moms with busy families"

I'm not a mom, and I don't have kids, but i like free stuff, and me and the Mrs. go to Starbucks a lot...so i would assume we could qualify. I'll hang tight till you get a response Stella, otherwise I'll just go ahead and shoot over my app, the worst they could say is no.  ;D

I was about to apply, but the disclaimer says you're giving them all materials submitted for promotional purposes. That means they can use whatever for an ad campaign and your compensation would be the free travel mugs. For me, that's not a good trade-off, even if it's just a chance of being selected. Besides, I already have stopped the disposable coffee cups and water bottles, so I wouldn't be a good scientific study at all.

My response from earlier was based on their response to your question - no kids/spouses is ok.

And sure:  if you don't want your info used or you don't want to be pestered (not sure that you would) then don't volunteer to be considered.

[thumbsup]
