The improvements to my bike keep happening thanks to some astute purchases. In addition to my suspension upgrades, I recently picked up a full Arrows system with carbon end cans thanks to Bigmic. I fitted them today which took about 30 mins and was pretty easy. Then I went for a ride which was even easier. These are a big improvement on my cored cans which were a big improvement on the standard can. The bike sounds better and runs smoother to boot.

PS. Bigmics bike is still for sale, I think, but now with standard exhaust.

Looking good Techno, can you put up some pic's of your carbon tail tidy, interested in one for my bike but haven't seen what they look like from different angles. Cheers.

Very nice leigh, looking forward to hearing your bike - i have a confession to make, not sure why but t.hought that roxy might sound better a bit quieter so put the ba**les in took her for a ride and well the ba**les came back out as soon as i got home - i do not know what I was thinking but when I stopped the smile was not on my face like it usually is - i know that you know the smile i am talking about as you all have the same one everytime you turn the bike on.  Anyway i did and still do feel a bit dirty about the whole experience, feel a bit better for confessing though I think

Im sure ive asked this before, but will you need a new ECU seeing you have the pods on? Does it matter much if it is a bit more "exposed" down there to water etc? Wont do any damage?

And not necessarily will you need a new ECU, a Power Commander will usually do the trick.

i have just got back from Mike's at Desmo Clinic at it all has been retuned so all good now,and thanks again Mike for the short notice. hhhmmm and yes more mods on the way too. [thumbsup] [moto]

Yeah Mike the bike runs smoother but it seems to be idling higher than before and sitting about 1750-2000 rpm, and yes it does sounds different but im just still getting familiar with it

Apparently not. We had been advised to open up the intake a little because it was running so rich with the little shorty pipes. Seems to run smoother now ... but we obvioulsy had Mike tweak things a bit.

Just remember that this is the all conquering 620 ... so not quite the same as a big 4 valver. I believe TPO offer velocity stacks for the 4v but they sit in the existing airbox ... dunno if that helps ???


I have heard differing points of view but have not seen any evidence of damage. Some have claimed on the forum to have done thousands of miles including torrential downpours with no ill effects, again ???

So you just installed the Pods and took it to desmo clinic and they did a tune? ... Well the Boss did the install, yeah (I'm lucky to install my foot in my boot without help). It also seemed to run OK on the way down, but we wanted to get it right. But like I mentioned above this was the case for this particular bike.

How do you do a tune with no ECU/power commander? ... best to ask Mike, but it was a bit of tweaking on the computer/analyser. Not a full tune (i.e. not a dynotune type thing).

Wow, I knew Dannog was having the slipper fitted, didn't know about the new clutch housing.
And I think the forks are being re-sprung for better weight/comfort for the rider. Guessing the same for the wooden
rear end mod also.

Come on Betty you install your leathers/gloves on a regular basis, now you also install yourself on that new bike.

Nice rear sets. what are they? Is that all new, Clutch Slave and rearsets? Whats going near the spring? is that a power commander bagged up near the rear spring?

rear set cant get anymore dont make them. not all is new i have had most of it for a while. no power commander. next pict

Nah! nothing is flat in tassie, mind you did make me check it once had her back on the flat, 
Techno it was taken in July, you know the warmer month LOL!  It sure is a bit cool and windy at the moment!
