and what do you want to do with the other thread you started?
Sorry no caps now... Answer please.
Thanks.
You can't just add an aftermarket speedo and you can't use the speedo from another bike unless you also use the ecu and key.
There are a couple of ways to do it.
If you search for reflash ecu you can find out how to disable the immobilizer so you can add any gauge you want, or you can remove the circuit board (with the immobilizer)from the current gauge set and mount it under the tank. Then you could add an aftermarket gauge.
Can i do this myself...

Not the reflash but you could do the modification to move your current immobilizer circuitry and add a different gauge. The reflash is a better option IMO, but it costs about $250.
Do some searching around. It's all been talked about before.
do you know anywhere in NY City where i can go....

I don't think anyone in the city does the reflash.
I mean do the job... everything.... and install the new speedometer...

Not in NYC, but close. They don't do the reflash in house, but they can take care of it for you. Either way, these guys are the independent shop to visit for your non warranty work.

Thanks but to far....
No one have any help for me.....
wait, let me get this right?
You ask for help
help is offered to you
but you don't like that help and want more/other help?
the search button (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?action=search) is your friend...
I think he wants a shop to call him and offer to come get it and fix it...
maybe for free.
Can you take care of that? ;D
For you Nate, of course. ;)
For this gent, probably not seeing as he hasn't put enough into the 'pay it forward' account yet.
Now, if I were in this gent's shoes, I'd take Howie's advice and call ECS tomorrow (seeing as it's Monday and they're closed). Or start calling the dealer list that you posted previously from the local section.
Otherwise, I'm betting that only peanut gallery comments and tumbleweeds will be the rest of this thread.
