Title: Remove risers --> bars back to stock ... how? Post by: DucofWestwood on August 20, 2010, 11:03:28 AM earlier this year I bought an '06 S2R1k that already had Speedymoto risers on it. I think it has these: http://www.speedymoto.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=03-0220BLK&Category_Code=MTC (http://www.speedymoto.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=03-0220BLK&Category_Code=MTC)
for aesthetic reasons, I want to try putting the bars back to stock height. what parts do I need to accomplish this? based on the pic below, I think I need a stock lower clamp (5) and possibly upper clamp (1) and of course the associated bolts. am I right? or could I use the black speedymoto top cap and just get a stock lower clamp? and if these are in fact the stock parts I need, is there a vendor that sells them (haven't been able to find one) or do I just need to buy used from someone who's taken them off their bike? note: both triple clamps are still stock. thanks in advance guys!! Yes, you need two (5)s and shorter bolts. 20mm shorter. Which means M8 x 70 I can't imagine you'd have to pay very much for either if you find them used. Bought at a Ducati dealer a pair of (5)s cost $54 and a pair of those bolts $4. Title: Re: Remove risers --> bars back to stock ... how? Title: Re: Remove risers --> bars back to stock ... how? Post by: Moses on September 17, 2010, 11:33:42 AM just remove the bolts, put the bars at the stock height, flip the risers, lay on top of bars, put the caps on then the bolts. Problem solved. [thumbsup]
