Title: First year riding, just got termi's Post by: DukeDenver on August 24, 2010, 04:20:03 PM My first year riding after many a years of being in love with Ducati bikes! A little unwise as to bikes and lacking any real friends that ride I chose to buy a new Monster 2010. Had I know what I do now, I think my selection would of been from the older models. But maybe that just means I can buy another one and have two next year ;D
Just got my Termi's put on today and couldn't stop grinning the whole ride home! What a difference those puppies make! As i'm sure you all know [moto] Just had to post saying I sure love my new, slightly louder ride 8) Anyways, awsome forum and great advice / tips I have found with this new community of fellow Duc lovers. Hopefully I can help contribute towards this forum and its riders in the future! Catch you all on the twisties [moto] Title: Re: First year riding, just got termi's Post by: DoubleEagle on August 24, 2010, 04:55:25 PM Congrats and welcome to the " Termi Club :) ."

Title: Re: First year riding, just got termi's Post by: jonnyconcrete on August 25, 2010, 01:58:46 AM it is a great forum sometimes you will get the odd person pulling your chain on here because you haven't got a clue how to do something or maybe you say something stupid but for the most part i just try to explain issues im having either using pictures or a decent description or just be honest when asking for advice and regular (im talking the people who actually do know what they are doing because they have pulled apart their own bike) forum users get back to you quite quickly with help Raux and ung have both replied to my threads on here and i can honestly say just reading this forum makes you want to get involved and start to mod and add to your bike yourself rather than pay someone else to do it. The only limitation starts to become money after a while....who am i to moan its a great hobby and i ride the bike more than the mrs these days so whatyagonnado its all for giggles on the road right ?

There are lots of really smart people on here that are always willing to help. Title: Re: First year riding, just got termi's Post by: MendoDave on August 25, 2010, 03:41:02 AM You guys have a good time with your new bikes. Ive been looking at the new monster and although I don't like the looks of it quite as much as the classic monsters, I have come to the conclusion that the new ones are better motorcycles. Plus you will see more products out there for the new stuff as time goes by. Happy riding!

i used to run my termi without the db killers and didn't realize how loud it was until someone rode my bike past me and i thought "damn that is obnoxious" now i'm running with modded dbkillers that make it a bit quieter without it losing the trademark termi sound. Works for me. best wishes with the bike and enjoy it. Title: Re: First year riding, just got termi's Post by: Hankyb3 on September 04, 2010, 11:03:06 AM I'm planning on adding Termi's soon, shop said they need to plug the new ECU that comes with the Termi's into their diagnostic computer to check programming, so they should do the install - is this necessary or are they looking for work?

Nick You will needTPS (throttle position sensor) and CO trim set. Title: Re: First year riding, just got termi's Post by: Raux on September 04, 2010, 09:28:48 PM You will needTPS (throttle position sensor) and CO trim set. with the newer models you can do it yourself. |
