Title: Can anyone identify these pipes?
Post by: speedknot on August 30, 2010, 01:35:09 PM
I had come across this pic on the fourm and took a liking to these pipes.  Any ideas?

I think you're right.  Checked out the Staintune site and there they were.  Cant get them though.  Monsterparts said he used to carry them but no more.  Oh well.  S.O.L.!

That would be bobspapa's bike, you could send him a PM if he doesn't check in here to verify

Ducati Performance chrome megaphones.  They haven't been sold in quite a while.  Does anyone have a sound clip?  I'd love to hear them.  I hope they aren't as loud as the Supertrapps megaphones.

when I entered her into the 08 LDD music challange, the guy with the db meter said she was louder than the Desmosedici that was entered [laugh]

Love the sound of these.  These Conti's are what I'm looking for.

What he said. Too loud for 'around town', though.

Lies!

If they're too loud you're too old... isn't that how it goes? My bike sounds like it runs on 90% unleaded infants, 10% doe-eyed puppies.

Dont worry, this thread goes no more.  I found the pipes and will be doing the install this weekend.  Thanks to all who helped me identify them and much thanks to chromo for digging them out for me. [thumbsup]

I just meant the whole "loud pipes saves lives" discussion, not your thread, carry on.  We need pics of them installed on your bike ya know...

If you can't find them, get the SIL megaphones instead.   [evil]

Chromo had a brand new set of DP "old style" pipes laying around so I grabbed them.  He has a pair on his Duc and they sound great.  I'll post pics and vid when I get them on.
In case I need db killers, does anyone have a set that you might part with?

I should have bought those when MonsterParts had them for something like $400
