I have found something interesting with our oil cooler kit for the Monster 620 / 695. I have a customer from Chile that purchased an oil cooler kit for his 620 Multistrada. This kit was designed around the monster and not his bike per se, but it should still theoretically work. Well in reality yes and no. The oil temp sensor is threaded into a port that is required for a line to go to the oil cooler. This is the slight problem. He sent some pics of the kit installed and it looks like there is no port on the valve cover as there is on the Monster 620. What my question is, is the port on the valve cover the same thread pitch and diameter of the oil cooler line ports? (M14-1.5). If they are, I was going to suggest to him to buy a Monster 620 valve cover and simply thread it into the valve cover. If anyone has spent anytime on this matter please respond and thanks in advance
As you will see in the first picture there is no sensor in the valve cover.

That looks like the temp sensor/switch that is normally on the oil screen cap...
If so, get a oil screen from a monster and you should be good to go. I'm sure others bikes are using the same part also...

I think the sensor or wiring may get roasted due to his pipe location if he uses a Monster screen cover.
But he really should have that temp sensor.
