Feel free to give me the local low down on my question regarding my busted swingarm bits.

No need to crosspost, we can see that post too ;)

As long as the axle nut is tight the wheel isn't going anywhere.

I can't see the pictures...but that is as much due to my webfilter blocking me at work...so I am stunted on the help I can offer. .

The adjuster bolt cracked on the swingarm and the shoe is hanging loose. Remove the shoe, check that the axle nut is tight as hell, and go riding. That bolt is used only to adjust the axle position, it doesn't offer any REAL security.

I stress - TIGHT AS HELL.

Excellent! I will check/adjust the tightness of the axle nut ASAP. The tech used loctite (or maybe just yellow nailpolish), but it doesn't appear to be worth a shit.

As if I ever "untouch" my monkey!

Jim, WTF are you doing to your bike? First a bolt from your cans, now this ... what next? The handlebars will come loose? [laugh]

Jokes aside, I don't think loctite is necessary just clean up the parts and then a bit of grease on the bolt to ensure a smooth fit and then just tighten up the bolts AFTER you torque your axle nuts.

I really didn't do anything to it. I bought it new tires and this is what happened. The cans I put on myself and didn't get the bolts tight enough. They are loctited now with my new wrenches that I can actually fit into the space and tighten them with. I replaced the handle bars, so they are safely loctited and torqued to the correct value after Ducatiz told me about Advance Auto Parts loaner program.

I'm beginning to wonder if my bike doesn't have a desire to be one of the models for the parts list exploded views.
