Title: Removing baffles from Termi's Post by: Nickati on September 02, 2010, 01:12:09 AM I did a bit of a search & couldn't find anywhere (which I thought was strange) if any one has removed their baffles from their Termi's ?
Who here has done this ? Cheers. Title: Re: Removing baffles from Termi's Post by: cakeman on September 02, 2010, 01:13:49 AM I got brand new slip ons, and they didnt come with baffles
Title: Re: Removing baffles from Termi's Post by: Nickati on September 02, 2010, 01:16:53 AM I'd better go have a look but it's not real loud so maybe the baffles are there (Or should I say DB killers) LOL

Not sure about Termi's but some baffles are riveted in and need to be drilled out. Title: Re: Removing baffles from Termi's Post by: goldFiSh on September 02, 2010, 03:14:44 AM Nickati's bike is whisper quiet next to a few others..........

In a box in my shed ;D Title: Re: Removing baffles from Termi's Post by: dragonworld. on September 02, 2010, 01:33:23 PM My baffles/DB killers are instaled where they were designed to be. The 4v motors do seem quieter at idle than the 2v motors ... maybe just perception, maybe a different note. But higher in the rev range I think things change - when you open her up at the top of the straight there are more than enough DBs being released without charge (or change). Title: Re: Removing baffles from Termi's Post by: hambo on September 02, 2010, 05:58:50 PM some 4v motors very quiet at turn 4.... [laugh] [laugh]

[laugh] [laugh] That's some funny shit right there people ... had to walk away twice so I could stop laughing and type properly. But both my 4v and 2v are practically mute compared to the little yellow beastie. ... still laughing ... Yes Track use only & thanks to a phone call from Vince & me getting off my arse and having a look there a NO baffles there LOL I thought I'd ask here rather than walk out to my bike and have a look ............ I would have thought with 70mm pipes from the heads back to the Termi's with no baffles (LOL again) that it would be as noisey fvck. Thanks guys. Title: Re: Removing baffles from Termi's Post by: Mr.S2R on September 03, 2010, 12:05:19 AM that is strange - I have termis (yes part of the herd) on mine and people have told me they can hear me coming literally from miles away - and leaving. When my bike was being identity checked for registration (here in SA) the inspector did warn me that I may get pulled over as he believed it was close to, possibly over the limit. There is nothing more joyful than drowning out a harley hehe [cheeky] [moto]
