Title: Re: Power wheelie on M696 Post by: Veloce-Fino on September 02, 2010, 11:41:32 AM Sort of difficult to power wheelie a 696 because you will be hitting redline so quickly. I'll try it after I get my bike fixed. ;D
Never was the showboating type. Title: Re: Power wheelie on M696 Post by: asherrick on September 02, 2010, 12:10:34 PM I'll try it after I get my bike fixed. ;D What'd you do to it!? Title: Re: Power wheelie on M696 Post by: Veloce-Fino on September 02, 2010, 01:51:16 PM What'd you do to it!? My guess, one of the springs on the shifter mechanism snapped. Most likely the middle one. Bike is stuck in 2nd and un-ridable until I get it to a dealer to get it fixed under warranty. Of course this happened after I moved back to college and have no tools and no other vehicle. And Ferracci is 3 hours away... Is this thread for real? ? dude wants to pull a wheelie whats wrong with that. Shift into second while aloft. ;) My uncle lost his leg from the knee down doing this. Foot peg ripped the leg right off. Title: Re: Power wheelie on M696 Post by: kopfjäger on September 02, 2010, 01:57:36 PM My uncle lost his leg from the knee down doing this. Foot peg ripped the leg right off. He shifted a gear and his leg ripped off? Title: Re: Power wheelie on M696 Post by: Veloce-Fino on September 02, 2010, 02:00:21 PM He shifted a gear and his leg ripped off? No smart ass, he shifted into 2nd too hot and went down. The sliding on pavement with his leg under the bike is what ripped it off. Oh, and he crawled to the nearest house for help. Pretty make the beast with two backsing disrespectful to insult someone who went through such a traumatic event. FYI he had been riding for over 20 years at the time of injury. I'm done with this thread, and you're an asshole. Title: Re: Power wheelie on M696 Post by: ducpainter on September 02, 2010, 02:19:59 PM Are you trying to get a rise out of me? Title: Re: Power wheelie on M696 Post by: ungeheuer on September 02, 2010, 02:46:23 PM Is this thread for real? +1...and you just got a 24 hour suspension. Read the rules... Kinda funny that we have rules to ban folk for responding inappropriately to the bait-casting of others and yet allow the posting of threads such as this promoting inappropriate behaviour on a motorcycle [laugh]. But even those who believe that pulling the "power wheelie" is a sensible activity will surely agree that at the very least such a thread has little to do with a board for "Accessories and Mods". Perhaps our mods could move it to the "I'm a juvenile on a Big-boy's Toy" thread or some other more appropriate place than this. Just sayin...... ;D Title: Re: Power wheelie on M696 Post by: ducpainter on September 02, 2010, 02:50:15 PM +1 Isn't it time for you to go to work? :-*Kinda funny that we have rules to ban folk for responding inappropriately to the bait-casting of others and yet allow the posting of threads such as this promoting inappropriate behaviour on a motorcycle [laugh]. Some are on the forum. We have a very loose rule about not being a dick... we have a very explicit rule about name calling...everyone here has to do better than that. If any one wants to discuss it further it can be done via pm. Title: Re: Power wheelie on M696 Post by: Popeye the Sailor on September 03, 2010, 07:32:07 AM Does it have to be a power wheelie or will any wheelie do? [evil]
