Looks like General Motors is on it's way to making a full fledged Stingray (hopefully a split windowed version) for the seventh generation corvette. The recently trademarked the name "Stingray" has been titled for use on "Motor land vehicles, namely automobiles"

Only time will tell!
I was gonna say, all the stingray fish would be pretty pissed if they had to pay GM trademark royalties.

Steve Irwin model?
Not my favorite "look" and feel for a car like that, but I'd drive one if they gave me one or I had the money to blow.
The exhaust on that concept reminds of a tennis ball launcher. [cheeky]
this is about the last Corvette I would own:
pretty much after '72.. meh..
even then the suspension sucks ass.
I don't know that I would put too much stock into this.
Companies do stuff like that all the time. Trademark 3 or 4 names to "protect them", and then only end up using one or none of them.
There is a metric shit-ton of speculation on what the next 'Vette will look like. Time will tell.

Hell, look at all the names we own but only built one dmf. It drives like a tank too actually.
I had a 60's era Stingray and was the first owner. It had a banana seat, a sissy bar, and a Hurst style shifter for the 3 Speed gear set.

Man your killin me!
It also looks kind of like the Mach 5 in the front. it had better have saws that come out the front and those jacks that help the car jump through the air. I bet you can drive it underwater.
Imagine how much it would cost in repairs if that concept was rearended!!! [bang]
You know that one good accident would knock all of those angular lines into chaos!!
I think that concept is about as realistic as:

Me too. And it was a total pussy-magnet.
And by "pussy-magnet" I mean "I tried to run over every cat in my neighborhood with it" [evil]
I used to REALLY want a stingray

I wouldn't kick a Chevette with a worked diesel out of my driveway. Sounds fun, but would need a hell of an engine setback to handle even reasonably.

You could do some serious cougar hunting down in the "Ranch" with that bad boy. [evil]
Jeez, you wouldn't want to stop to fast on that bike, you could slide forward off the seat and become a Statistic!
Just sayin.... :P
It is, most definitely, pre-litigation era.
You think that has something to do with why I have no kids?
