No mention of DP and it's DP v Evoluzione that I'm really down to. Leaning towards the Evo but lookin to the ozmo faithful to help seal the deal! ozducati if you're about, what do you does an Evo slave kit for ozmo members go for? Is pickup an option? and your only paying more because it says Ducati Performance on it. The Evoluzione unit I think comes with more accessories to assist with fitting (Last time I looked anyway) and I think you will find on average the Evoluzione unit will be a little cheaper. Save the cash, get the Evoluzione unit. Cheers Andy (2 weeks and counting) I am not sure what type of feedback you are after ... most people are unlikely to have tried both - amongst this mob it is pretty unlikely that there would be much DP stuff at all. Although I have heard a lot about how crap the stock unit is, I don't know of many local cases where there has been a problem (mine is still stock). Most people upgrade because they have heard the stock unit is prone to leaking/failure or for an easier clutch pull (certainly not for bling value ;)). There are obvioulsy a few different bikes with all the 'big brands' and there doesn't seem to be any criticisms and no problems. Is the DP unit built by one of the other suppliers? ... this is often the case, just with DP branding. The Boss has had an Evo on her wet clutch (not APTC) bike for a couple of years without any problems. Here's the blurb for the Evo unit, the reason i carry them is because i have used them on about 4 of my bikes over the past few years, they are well made, have good clear instructions and offer a ten year guarantee against seal failure... and they look quite nice as well, and come with a bleeder kit.. you wouldn't go wrong with either the EVR or the Evoluzione.. although the EVR has no instructions, and no bleeder kit... We used to do a lot of Replacement slave cylinders under warranty, the fine sand on the roads up there destroyed the sleeves in the cylinders very quickly, we had some bikes within there factory warranty period go through 3 or 4 slave unit's. So we use to take the original slaves to a Brake cylinder reconditioner and get a Stainless steel sleeve inserted, use to cost about $120 and send the bike on it's way, you would never see that bike back for that problem again. Simple solution and a little bit cheaper than buying a new slave if the budget is tight. If you have a dry clutch, the aftermarket slaves will make the lever pull a little easier though. |
