Title: Tourist warning Post by: heatherp on September 14, 2010, 03:43:20 AM Just thought you might like some warning that in the next week or two you may:
1. get a nail in your tyre or 2. crash you bike (RobS you were a bit premature ;D) or 3. meet a cereal killer [evil] (intentional misspelling - I couldn't harm a flea) or 4. just have someone to blame for all manner of misfortune [cheeky] After 6 months of not working, for money anyway, I'm thinking of looking for a job but before I do I thought I might just go for another little ride now the snow has thawed into floods here in Victoria. So I'm planning on leaving my place on Monday(20/9) or Tuesday next week and heading North. I'm aiming for North of Sydney somewhere out in the sticks. Thinking of riding in through Bells Line of road Wednesday-ish. Anyone wanna go for a ride??????? Title: Re: Tourist warning Post by: mattyvas on September 14, 2010, 06:13:03 PM Maybe so H.
Keep it up dated and I'll let you know what I can manage. Title: Re: Tourist warning Post by: goldFiSh on September 15, 2010, 01:15:55 AM Love to but not sure whether I can. Will know closer to the date.

So whats stopping you tagging along? Oh that's right, the little subject of a road registered bike! Title: Re: Tourist warning Post by: Dockstrada on September 25, 2010, 02:13:50 AM Yeah something like that, although it could also have to do with the unexpected dirt roads appearing suddenly ;)
Title: Re: Tourist warning Post by: heatherp on September 25, 2010, 09:36:30 PM Well Saturday was fun. Thanks George & Kaz for showing me some lovely roads. Can now add a few more to my list. Trip up was great. Spent Thursday playing in the Snowy Mountains. Friday rode from Bathust. Bells line, a little bit of Putty, a little bit of Wiseman's Ferry. And the weather is so much better than down south.
Anybody free this week to show me some more nice roads around the northern side of Sydney? Title: Re: Tourist warning Post by: FIFO on September 25, 2010, 10:08:09 PM Hi Heather My precious is not fixed yet :'(, otherwise i would show you around. But if it is a nice day defiantly worth a run up to Summer bay (Palm Beach) mid week not many tourist around via Mccars creek rd turn off Monavale rd Terry hills. And lunch at the Newport Arms. Ps maybe if you sweet talk to Dez he would be up to it. :-* oh and they have found the odd body or two in Kurringai national park so be carefull ;D Title: Re: Tourist warning Post by: mattyvas on September 26, 2010, 12:18:50 AM Yeah maybe Heather.

Title: Re: Tourist warning Post by: mattyvas on September 26, 2010, 09:17:36 PM Oops.
10am a nice civil hour, once the morning traffic has mostly past. Title: Re: Tourist warning Post by: J5 on September 26, 2010, 09:19:37 PM iirc thursday will be first day of double points
Title: Re: Tourist warning Post by: FIFO on September 26, 2010, 09:20:29 PM Hey Matty
If you go to Akuna bay you will have to pay to enter the national park. At the park entrance at the Terry hills end go left just about 100mts from the toll booth it is a sweeping fork intersection and just follow that to church point it is sign posted can't remember what it says. It is still very twisty and a lot smoother than around Akuna bay section only a little shorter. If you do enter the park then it well worth the 12KLM trip out to West Head.a real must do for the tourist. :) as it has just been resealed with smooth bitumen [thumbsup] And if it is a good day the view is spectacular.take the photo thingy. Title: Re: Tourist warning Post by: Wells on September 27, 2010, 08:37:46 PM We are meeting Thursday Does this mean Thursday night catch up *with special guests!? Title: Re: Tourist warning Post by: heatherp on September 27, 2010, 09:32:20 PM Um [roll] *special guest is not staying in the city so no late night city rides for me.
