Title: The next question: what fenders fit on a 2000 Monster 750? Post by: bunnyman666 on September 15, 2010, 08:45:14 AM The stock fender is WEAK. I feel like it's going to break at any minute. I also wouldn't mind something different.
What else can I put on there? Title: Re: The next question: what fenders fit on a 2000 Monster 750? Post by: ducpainter on September 15, 2010, 09:01:05 AM What is the bolt spacing?

Post by: bunnyman666 on September 15, 2010, 09:13:52 AM That is GREAT news!!!!
Now I can get something with some personality, made from fibreglass, (or carbon), and be different. Thanks a mint!!!! Title: Re: The next question: what fenders fit on a 2000 Monster 750? Post by: ducpainter on September 15, 2010, 09:18:24 AM Those fenders will do a much better job of protecting your tubes.
There may be some others that fit too. I'm sure someone will pipe up. Title: Re: The next question: what fenders fit on a 2000 Monster 750? Post by: bunnyman666 on September 15, 2010, 12:11:44 PM I am just happy as hell that I can get a different fender for the bike. Airtech is going to make mine from glass- around $90USD shipped, opposed to $316 for a brand-new Ducati unit.

Why not get a used OEM plastic? If your budget will allow there are all kinds of carbon fenders out there both new and used. Title: Re: The next question: what fenders fit on a 2000 Monster 750? Post by: bunnyman666 on September 15, 2010, 01:14:24 PM I suppose I could get used plastic. Maybe I got good specimens, but I have always had good luck with Airtech ???
I used to build my own CF bicycle parts; however, I had to sell EVERYTHING when I went into a non-compete about five years ago. I have two years to go... :P Anyway- I thought their fibreglass stuff was decent; certainly you can find damned near anything you need for your bike. The experiences I've had with their stuff wouldn't lead me to pay money for any of it. |
