Hey guys, I was just giving my bike a once over before the trip to It. motofest. It is a 2 yr old 696 with 5500 miles and an appointment in two weeks at duc pond to get the 7.5k service done. Anyways, I pulled off the timing belt covers just to make sure everything is good, and there's some wear on the edges of the timing belts. There's a thin strip of copper colored metal visible along the outer edges of the belts (facing directly at you as you're looking at them). Other than that, everything looks good, just a bit of rubber dust accumulated under the covers. Is it still good to take to motofest and back? Like I said, it already has an appointment for the big service in a couple weeks and it's actually 2k under the service interval. Maybe I'm being paranoid!
You're good to go! Ride that pregnant dog!
he lies! You bike is already dead.. done... it's spark of life has been snuffed out. I'll come take it off your hands for $1... Understand that I'm being very generous!
[roll]... [laugh]
Hmmm..Sounds like a pretty good offer..maybe after a few [drink]!
I've got a 750ml bottle of Victory '12' Drink it all and you'll be sure to agree to just about anything.
