awesome!!!!
so we can count on the 'belle attending? [thumbsup]
also, who is going to be organizing the monster ride into the event this year, and who will be running the monster challenge this year?
I can attend. I can't organize anything unfortunately. I'm stretched a little thin with my commitments as it is.

Spidey Larvae, Part Deux is hatching around the 18th, so I can't organize the monster ride as I've done the last few years. I'll see if I can rope someone into it.
I can lead the monster ride on a BMW :P

All I need is someone to park a Renault in La Honda, then we can all park on it.
Are Test rides available this year? It did see any mention of the Duc Truck?
I was hoping to get on an 848 and a 796.

we had planned on having the duc truck / test rides for LDD2010 ... but, dna is taking the duc truck to mexico city for the IMS event, so we will not have either this year. sorry ... but we still plan on having a great event, and hope to see you there.
Mr. John, can I pick up my DNA member stuff from you? ^___^

Folks, the D-Store has graciously offered to host us prior to departing SF for LDD. They'll be providing pastries and coffee starting at around 9:30. I'm happy to lead a slow ride down. If you're interested, please reply here:

awesome!!!! you d-store folks are the best [thumbsup]
on another LDD related topic, we are in need of someone to help get jim lindemann up to LDD2010 event on october 17th.
this request is aimed at MOBsters who live in the south bay ...
as most of you know, jim is the owner/mastermind behind lindemann engineering, one of, if not THE best suspension shops in the US, and jim volunteers each year to run the suspension clinic up at LDD, turning his magic wrenches to adjust suspension on all the bikes that come through the clinic.
what we are in need of is someone with either a pickup or a van, that can help LDD by picking jim up at his shop in campbell, driving him up to la honda early in the morning of the 17th, with his ez-up tent and small tool chest ... then give jim a ride back down to his shop after LDD ends @ 5pm on the 17th.
so ... if you have a truck or a van, and can really help us out by providing jim transportation to and from LDD2010, we would REALLY appreciate it a lot. if you want to bring your own motorcycle up to have jim do his suspension magic on it, this would be done gratis, as a just reward for your kindness.
please send me a PM here if you are interested, and we can work out the details.
grazie mille,
johnc

awesome!!! i am pretty sure the monster challenge will not start until the massive monster mob ride-in from san francisco arrives, so you should be a-ok. [thumbsup]
What time is the Monster MOB meeting at Alices? I'll be riding up from the vally and would like to join y'all on the way in.

We should be there by 10:30 or 10:45.
Bumpittizity-bump!
We're still on for tomorrow morning! The D-Store will be providing coffee, juice, and pastries in the morning...official start time is 9:30AM, but there will be people in the store a bit before that.
Remember: We leave the D-Store for a parade-pace ride at 10:00 AM< with a stop at Alice's to pick up some south bay folks for a Monsterous arrival to La Ducati Day.
NOTE: There's a slight chance of showers tomorrow, so gear up appropriately.
Looking forward to it!
Thanks for organizing DQ. Fun seeing everyone again. Even the rain and cold weren't all that bad. I'm just now feeling my hands again, but I still had fun. Hope the ride home wasn't too hairy for you BikerGoddess...
The ride home from LDD was pretty crazy, that fog was so thick I accidentally turned down Page Mill Road instead of 9 from Skyline!
Hope everyone made it home safely.

Not a bad ride at all, just damp. I've ridden in super windy, dry weather conditions on 280 that were much hairier. Thanks for the help!
I ended up departing @ 3 when there was a break n the dampness. I left with Simon on the streetfighter and when we got to Alice's road was blocked with flares and a couple sheriffs units.
Simon drove thru the flares to find out what the dealio was and the big bald one started giving him a hard time.
Then a nice off duty san meto officer rolled up behind me and suggested I go right and then take page mill down to 280. Can't wait to come back and try that when it's dry was a bit nerve racking driving down it blind.
Was nice seeing some of the familiar faces and meeting some new ones.
don't know what set off the road block ... when i was heading back home after the event @ 6:30pm, there were burned out flairs @ 35/84 intersection, but no clue as to what had happened. also heard that 9 heading down off 35 was closed as well.
hopefully, no motorcycles were involved in either accident.
