I have scratches on my exhaust from a previous owner.
I have sanded them down, but was looking for a solution to somehow cover the scratch. An exhaust guard maybe? What's available?

Call it character. My bike has lots of it.
You could remove the sleeve and use a power sander to sand the complete sleeve using finer and finer grit paper till you get all the damage removed. Just remember, this is aluminum so you will even start out using a pretty fine grit. Once you have a uniform finish on the entire sleeve you can either give it a scotch bright matte finish or use a buffer wheel and aluminum buffing compound to give it a mirror finish similar to buffed stainless. A lot of the sanding could be eliminated if you can get access to a particulate blaster and use glass beads and then something like walnut shell media. One thing you might remember though is if you will ever need the Fed emissions stamp on the can to pass inspection. If so, you need to be careful not to be too aggressive and remove that.
I've used this method on lots of aluminum and SS sleeves with great results.
or you can just get rid of the stock cans and get some sweet termis or arrows.
A used can off fleabay is your best bet - it's impossible to resleeve them.
When I say "impossible" I assume you don't want to remove that nice weld that holds the steel parts together, right in front of the sleeve. I'm pretty sure they put the sleeve on before welding that part on - I cored my M750's cans, and the flat anti-drag part of the sleeze got really messed up.
