Title: 22 Today Post by: the_Journeyman on September 18, 2010, 06:16:17 PM So, I spent some time detailing my wife's 1988 Honda Hawk 650. Everything is original except the Supertrapp exhaust and K&N air filter. She's 22 years old and taught me a thing or two. I can drag a knee effortlessly on this little 58HP bike, much easier than my M750 or 900SS. My wife has been learning on this bike because it is so easy to ride fast and fun.
Keep in mind, this is original to 1988 as far as paint/appearance goes ~ (http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn168/the_journeyman/Hawk/DSC_0119-1200.jpg) (http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn168/the_journeyman/Hawk/DSC_0117-1200.jpg) (http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn168/the_journeyman/Hawk/DSC_0114-1200.jpg) JM Title: Re: 22 Today Post by: poseur on September 18, 2010, 06:24:51 PM That looks brand new.

( I drag the sides of my Boots a lot ) Dolph :) Find a bike that's stupid easy to ride (like a Honda Hawk) and when you're riding hard enough to drag the exhaust bolt (right side) or peg feeler (left side) just slide off the low side and stick your knee out. I can barely drag on my 900SS and it usually has to be a decreasing radius turn, but is a piece of cake with the Hawk ~ JM Title: Re: 22 Today Post by: fastwin on September 19, 2010, 07:43:55 AM That's awesome! Really nice. You should be proud! [thumbsup] Those were (still are!) great little scooters! The predecessor to the SV650 Suzook line up! [clap]

I'm a while away from buying another one, and I hope this doesn't come out wrong, but I really am starting to have a thing for your wife's bike.
You did a wonderful job detailing it. Title: Re: 22 Today Post by: Jaman on September 19, 2010, 03:43:49 PM That's awesome! Really nice. You should be proud!
