Title: Re: Skyline is free Saturday 9/25 Post by: The Mad King Pepe' on September 19, 2010, 03:25:09 AM I'd like to get out there, but cannot begin to imagine how crowded it would be... +1 fall is coming and a lot of people go there on weekends to enjoy the colors from the comfort of their cars at 5MPH.Went there in Nov '08, it was me, the road, and a bit of snow. :) Title: Re: Skyline is free Saturday 9/25 Post by: tuanogus on September 19, 2010, 05:34:38 AM Ya, it'll be madness. You can "beat the rush" but you gotta get out there before 8:00 AM. Enter on 211 and ride south to 33.
The April dates are best... free all week... real quiet on a weekday. It's chilly, though, and you do see patches of snow on the side of the road. Plus they sand the road heavily during the winter, so you're likely to experience some extra thrills in the turns. Every time I ride in Virginia, I believe I get the same feeling as having a cell-mate. Title: Re: Skyline is free Saturday 9/25 Post by: DRKWNG on September 19, 2010, 01:47:29 PM You know you like it, pregnant dog! ;D
