Lookin at picking up a set of these guys (similar/same mirrors available for sale from various sellers all over eBay):

Question: Are these direct plug and play for our Monsters (I have a 696)? or is there drilling, etc involved to get these into the bar-ends? I'm always wary of "universal" fitment products
Thanks!
ya, should fit right in the end of your bars.
Personally, I'm strongly against flat glass mirrors. I suspect these...
Motorcycle mirrors are small and need to be convex, IMO.
I have these mirrors. They are awesome. They are smaller in diameter than stock mirrors and show more of the surroundings.
They ARE plug and play. They come with 2 different spacers to use though, make sure you use the correct ones. I had to remove the outer spacer to fit in my Renthal handlebars.
edit:
READ THIS: I misread your post at first. These REPLACE bar end weights. They do NOT attach to current bar ends.

I agree - I saw this one, looks... identical... but the description says it's Convex

Thanks for the confirmation! I'm assuming you have Renthal after-market handlebars?
Do you have any pictures of the setup? Are your lenses convex or flat?
only picture I have of current mirror configuration was with me in it so I cropped it small. :-[

I believe they are the first set because there are tabs holding the glass in and in the second set I don't see any. They look flat but show more area than the stock mirrors so I'm not entirely sure.
Damn those are cheap! I paid $150 for my PowerStand Racing bar end mirrors.
just as an FYI, the first link includes the pair, the 2nd link that says "Convex" is for a single mirror
I used those mirrors for over two years with very little trouble. I will say this though, the ones that did NOT have tabs over the glass on the edges were higher quality than the ones with the tabs. The casting was better, the finish held up longer, and the mirrors just looked better. Either one function just fine. Both of the ones that I had were convex glass.
no issue with vibration or wind sheer?
Definitely no to vibration, the ones without the glass tabs had no problems with wind. The ones with tabe I had to adjust sometimes. Regardless of which you buy, crank that pregnant dog down like it's your job.
Yes - they are plug and play. The eBay mirrors I got are convex, so visibility is good. Since I didn't want to loose my bar end weight, I simply moved up the clutch grip and clamped the mirror to the bar:

Visibility is very good and no vibrations while riding. Best $18 bucks spent (for the pair).
For how cheap these are you can buy these...

And still save money over just the CRG's. That way you still get the sliders if you need 'em.
I have these on my m900 [thumbsup] I'm happy with them, can't complain considering how cheap $$$ they are.
