???
Just saw a 2001 Monster 900 with this colour scheme and was wondering if it was original.
AFAIK, only the S4Rs was an official TriColore.
Perhaps there was a 'Monza Pace Bike Edition'. [cheeky]
Here's the LINK (http://www.bikesales.com.au/all-bikes/dealer/details.aspx?Cr=1&R=9281181&keywords=&trecs=2&__Ns=p_RankSort_Int32%7C1%7C%7Cp_Make_String%7C0%7C%7Cp_Model_String%7C0%7C%7Cp_YearMade_Int32%7C1%7C%7Cp_PriceSort_Decimal%7C1&__sid=120385217A08&__Nne=15&__Qpb=true&seot=1&__N=1432%20604%201430%201429%201428%204294967242%204294958373&silo=1400) for the bike.
Didn't think it was original, but was just curious.
There's others here that know the history better than I. [moto]
I'm sure I know much less than speeddog, but I've never seen an air cooled tri color (factory)
For that price it better come with some of the crack that the seller's been smoking.
(Is that a fork reflector stuck to the belt covers?)
And no, that's not original paint.
The S4Rs was the only factory tri-colore.

Didn't think so. Looks like there is another reflector on teh other side on the engine casing. [roll]
And it is in Australia, and that price may be a little higher than average, but that is somewhat normal. [bang]

Really?!
That's pretty crazy.
Yeah.
Why I haven't got one at the moment. Cheapest I've found so far is a 2000 model 900 for $5500. Was in the process of buying a 98 900S for $6500 until the wife found out. :'(
In hindsight, she was right. But I'll never admit that to her. ;)
