Title: Pics of newer fender on older forks? Post by: greenmonster on September 27, 2010, 01:23:12 PM I an looking for pics of -00 & newer front fenders on the old forks w 40mm c/c caliper bracket.

Post by: Drunken Monkey on September 27, 2010, 06:56:06 PM Older style has two bolts that are spaced relatively close together, and bolt directly to the fork bottom (but you knew that, since that's what you have :P)
Newer style has a separate clamp that attaches to the fork and the bolts are relatively far apart and the top one's a bit lower, I think. The good news: You should be able to make an adapter. Newer Style fender mount (with adapter to mount older style fender): (http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj19/DrunkenMonkey_bucket/IMG_1297.jpg) Older style fender mount: (http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj19/DrunkenMonkey_bucket/IMG_1296.jpg) No reason the same kind of adapter couldn't be used to mount a newer style fender to an older style fork. Hell, a simple strip of aluminum with bolt holes in it at the old and 'new' locations would probably do the trick. Title: Re: Pics of newer fender on older forks?
