come on guys, you should get some of those Monsters on the dyno..

So onlookers can remark how they thought Ducatis were meant to be high powered? [laugh]

Is there any particular reason we should put the bikes on the dyno? Yes that is a serious question.

well firstly, maybe to get in the spirit of the day, it's easy to show n shine, but am sure a lot of people, including you guys would be surprised at the HP your bikes are putting out + it can also highlight potential issues with the way the bike is running.. - ie too lean in a certain rev range.. is it such a bad thing?

Dunno, that's why I was asking. Just because I have a couple of thousand posts on here doesn't mean that I have any idea what these things are, how they work or what they are good for.

The fact that my bike has never been in the rev range where a dyno is likely to take it I would be a little cautious.

well, for those that want to be cautious, there's still a show n shine on the day.. and Rapid Bikes & AMCN mags will be there, Zak is also having a huge tyre sale on Pirelli/Michelin/Conti tyres + a free sausage sizzle.. never know, you might enjoy the day out :)

I might stick my head in Michael.....think i missed the cut off for entering anything...any chance of having a set of black/red rear sets in your pocket to view..?

Rather than knitting i decided to stick my head in plus see Michaels gear in the flesh. While chatting, someone snuck over and wheeled my Monster into a little room. End result as follows............ ;D ;D ;D ;D

What are the numbers on it?

It was down on power, running way too lean they said....around 105 at the wheel....should be 20% more i was told........i will let the experts study the graph.....One bike called "Judge"actually shot a rod through the case and caught on fire. But then again....it was virtually a full on drag bike, hardly resembling a Kawasaki which it once was.

Nice!

Do you think you'll go the powercommander route, and see if you can get that 20% back?

They actually suggested a microtec ecu, what carbon imports have. Might have a chat with george there.

Yeah certainly shows how much the suspension needs to work with just the input from the throttle [roll]

Very good Detective work there J5..........pity that they cut it short, it actually then caught fire underneath and Zac (on the bike) nearly did as well......
