You could make it 2 awards in less then a month Brian :) Title: Re: Show n Shine & Dyno Day - Sydney Post by: ozducati on September 28, 2010, 02:08:56 PM come on guys, you should get some of those Monsters on the dyno..
Title: Re: Show n Shine & Dyno Day - Sydney Post by: Betty on September 28, 2010, 03:47:24 PM come on guys, you should get some of those Monsters on the dyno.. So onlookers can remark how they thought Ducatis were meant to be high powered? [laugh] Is there any particular reason we should put the bikes on the dyno? Yes that is a serious question. Title: Re: Show n Shine & Dyno Day - Sydney Post by: ozducati on September 28, 2010, 05:00:50 PM well firstly, maybe to get in the spirit of the day, it's easy to show n shine, but am sure a lot of people, including you guys would be surprised at the HP your bikes are putting out + it can also highlight potential issues with the way the bike is running.. - ie too lean in a certain rev range.. is it such a bad thing?

Title: Re: Show n Shine & Dyno Day - Sydney Post by: Betty on September 28, 2010, 05:49:42 PM is it such a bad thing? Dunno, that's why I was asking. Just because I have a couple of thousand posts on here doesn't mean that I have any idea what these things are, how they work or what they are good for. The fact that my bike has never been in the rev range where a dyno is likely to take it I would be a little cautious. Title: Re: Show n Shine & Dyno Day - Sydney Post by: ozducati on September 28, 2010, 05:59:19 PM well, for those that want to be cautious, there's still a show n shine on the day.. and Rapid Bikes & AMCN mags will be there, Zak is also having a huge tyre sale on Pirelli/Michelin/Conti tyres + a free sausage sizzle.. never know, you might enjoy the day out :)
Title: Re: Show n Shine & Dyno Day - Sydney Post by: braando on September 30, 2010, 01:34:21 PM I might stick my head in Michael.....think i missed the cut off for entering anything...any chance of having a set of black/red rear sets in your pocket to view..?

Title: Re: Show n Shine & Dyno Day - Sydney Post by: braando on October 02, 2010, 12:42:33 AM Rather than knitting i decided to stick my head in plus see Michaels gear in the flesh. While chatting, someone snuck over and wheeled my Monster into a little room. End result as follows............ ;D ;D ;D ;D http://s885.photobucket.com/albums/ac55/braando54/?action=view¤t=008.mp4 (http://s885.photobucket.com/albums/ac55/braando54/?action=view¤t=008.mp4) Title: Re: Show n Shine & Dyno Day - Sydney Post by: mattyvas on October 02, 2010, 01:20:07 AM I thought it was going to buck the guy off!
What are the numbers on it? Title: Re: Show n Shine & Dyno Day - Sydney Post by: braando on October 02, 2010, 06:18:24 AM It was down on power, running way too lean they said....around 105 at the wheel....should be 20% more i was told........i will let the experts study the graph.....One bike called "Judge"actually shot a rod through the case and caught on fire. But then again....it was virtually a full on drag bike, hardly resembling a Kawasaki which it once was.

Do you think you'll go the powercommander route, and see if you can get that 20% back? Title: Re: Show n Shine & Dyno Day - Sydney Post by: braando on October 02, 2010, 05:39:33 PM They actually suggested a microtec ecu, what carbon imports have. Might have a chat with george there.
