hey,
i may have to replace my carbs.. bad mixture screw that may not be extractable.. go figure... it's frozen in place with a stripped head, from trying to adjust it, but is threaded in fine, and i need to adjust it now.
anyway, if i have to replace them, i was wondering which years have the same exact carbs. i was looking at a 1998 one and was wondering if that was exactly the same. the bike is a 1999 m900s (don't think the s matters here)
I've got a set off my 1999 900 that are yours for cheap. Really should be rebuilt probably, have been jetted though.
IIRC
all SS & M 900 CV`s are the same, w same air jets. 600 & 750 most jets different.
Main & idle jets vary.
Exactly same as yours are M900 w V2 heads.

the carbs vary in the small passages and drillings, etc, between engine capacities and markets. 900 carbs for europe are different to 900 carbs for usa i believe (emmissions requirements) and possibly between ss and monster. no reason to not fit euro carbs to a usa bike, but not from a smaller motor i'd suggest.
i have 600 carbs on my 750 engine'd 600 and they're not quite the same as 750 carbs with the same jetting sort of thing.
Quotethe carbs vary in the small passages and drillings, etc, between engine capacities and markets.
And some contains air jets that vary as well.
i was able to extract the screw.. but it took a lot of heat in that area.. . probably need to replace the seal .....
