Title: 696 pics request Post by: mrplease on September 29, 2010, 05:53:50 AM i need some pics (preferably of the 696) of some rizoma rearsets with the passenger peg kit installed. i've seen a couple but none of them were good pics. a good side view would be great. most of the ones i've seen are close up shots that dont give a good look as to what the entire bike looks like with them installed.

Title: Re: 696 pics request Post by: asherrick on October 01, 2010, 08:31:44 AM I'm not sure that I've ever seen someone with the passenger pegs installed. Seems like everyone that gets aftermarket rearsets forgoes them.

Might want to look into the S&P passenger rearsets that work with any 696/1100 rearsets. 696 rearset thread http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=41545.0 (http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=41545.0) Title: Re: 696 pics request Post by: jfgducat on October 01, 2010, 10:32:38 AM Go with rizoma. Title: Re: 696 pics request Post by: 696DCRider on October 06, 2010, 01:09:27 PM My friend has them on his 1100. I'm not sure when the next time I see him will be, but I will try and snap a pic. I liked the way they look personally. I think basically, if you are set on the Rizomas, you could just buy both parts, and install the rearsets. Then put the pegs on without damaging them so you can check it out in person. If you don't like it, then just return it. Also, if you definitely plan on having a passenger, then you kind of have no choice.
anyone? Title: Re: 696 pics request Post by: Raux on October 06, 2010, 01:38:45 PM you know you can get the rizoma for the rider and the S&P for the passenger. mix and match
Title: Re: 696 pics request Post by: mrplease on October 06, 2010, 08:43:29 PM you know you can get the rizoma for the rider and the S&P for the passenger. mix and match you have a pic? my main concern about that is can you install the rizoma rear pegs? if you can install the stock ducati pegs then the rizoma ones i have will fit... is that what you have for your passenger pegs? Title: Re: 696 pics request Post by: Raux on October 06, 2010, 09:19:03 PM Here's a poor quality photo from S&P facebook

Found on their facebook page Title: Re: 696 pics request Post by: mattc7 on October 16, 2010, 01:00:01 PM can you put the stock pegs on the s&p passenger peg mount? no you can't put the stock pegs, but why would you want to? the stock pegs are junk. The S&P pegs have MUCH better grip (actually, they're some of the nicest pegs I've used). Your passenger will thank you. If you're worried about spares, they aren't expensive through S&P, or with a small change you can use woodcraft's pegs as well Title: Re: 696 pics request Post by: Raux on October 16, 2010, 01:24:19 PM gotta agree on that. it's like stepping on a metal file. you aren't going anywhere.

If you're worried about spares, they aren't expensive through S&P, or with a small change you can use woodcraft's pegs as well i wouldn't put the stock pegs on! i think i threw my stock pegs away a long time ago. the reason i ask is i have rizoma pegs front and back. and the passenger rizoma pegs mount exactly like the stock passenger pegs. so if the stock pegs wouldn't mount then my rizomas wont mount. because what i didn't want was rizoma front pegs with rizoma rearests up front and s&p pegs on the rear... i was hoping the s&p's would accept the stock peg mount so i could slap on the rizomas to match the front (if i decide to get the rizoma rearsets) |
