Well, it was a blast riding with you those many times.  You will always be considered part of the NMMR family even if you don't ride anymore.  You will be the first retired New Mexico Monster Rider.  That's quite an honor.  I hope you will stay in touch when you are coming through the hood.  It will always be a treat to see you, Jackie, and the girls if we pass through up there, too.  I, for one, won't bug you to ride.  Everyone has to ride their own ride which may extend all the way to no riding at all!  Take care, Jeremy!

Yes!!  I do need a V-strom and I also want to know if your Monster has a dry clutch.  I know we talked about it on the Utah trip, but now I can't remember.  PM me with your asking price on both of them.  Or are you going to e-bay them? 

My Monster is an 800, so it has the wet clutch.  The price of the V-Strom depends on how many of the goodies you want.  I'll make a great deal to anyone in the NMMR on either.  I need to get both of them cleaned up and ready before I'll list them for sale.  Ebay will be my last stop. :P

Well, you know me, true to form, less is more when it comes to farkles and technical thingees.  I prefer to remain stuck in yesterday communication-wise so I wouldn't need the GPS and homing missile set-up you have on there.   My bikes stay relatively unmodded with the exception of termis.   Oh, yeah, and framesliders which are pretty much as necessary as foot pegs in my world.  Back to the V-strom, I will be watching as you list the goodies it comes with.  I am coming through there toward the end of June so if you haven't sold it by then, I will take a second look and maybe try it on for size.

Seriously  . . .  Sad to see you go.  We made only one ride together (first half of Az and second half of Utah is all one ride to me) but it was a blast.  You'll know where to find us if you get a reprieve.   :(

PS  You know, if you don't ride you'll age faster.  I'm not trying to influence you or any thing like that, but   .   .   .    [roll]

You change your mind yet? The mind is a fickle thing.
You know I have to tell you I made the same choice...but only for about 10 of my sons 18 years. I also have to tell you a huge chunk of my life was missing and when I got back to riding my life improved immensely, even after a life changing accident last year.
I had been missing what made me the happiest. When my son was very young I used to live in chicago and ride on the eisenhower and dan ryan expressway. If you fell you would get run over and no one would notice, both were 10 lane wide roads. That was when I stopped. Then about 3 years ago I started again. It has been the best choice I have made in my life.

well jt I am at a complete loss for words.     I hope that you still give me a call when your come up here!                                                                 also if safety is a concern YOU really need to check out dirt bikes way more fun then you can imagine and way more safe! and as far as time you live right were their is some great riding!!! also a lot cheeper [thumbsup] because jt your a rider I have seen it and you just cant turn your soul off just like that. He WILL be coming to Ouray (even if he doesnt know it yet).  Bonfy has Lance, who she bungees to the ass of the dragon.  I will be duct taping Count, facing backwards of course, pregnant dog on my bike!!

BWAHAHAHAHA!  I mentioned to Randimus that I may try to make it to Ouray to join you guys for some dinner and drinkage, so it may happen. [thumbsup]

Mars, I'm going to play future toys by ear.  I want to be sure to involve the family, so a Jeep looks like an option.

We rented a Jeep last summer and it was a frickin' ball.  [thumbsup] Highly recommend it. If you want to keep it family friendly though, stay stock. Those things were so amazingly capable with nothing done to them that I imagine you'd terrify passengers with more done. Frankly my brother is still pissed at me.

I got the Dragon.  ;) and he is beast!

We're still a few years away from one (Laura is only 1 1/2) but I imagine I'll start with a stock 4 cyl. Wrangler.  Eventually it will see some bigger tires and maybe a rear locker, but I won't get too crazy....right?

Well, Jeremy that makes my leaving just a bit easier!  Knowing that I couldn't ride with you anymore even if I stayed comforts me a bit, I dont know why.  I made the same promise to my ex-wife (and no, that is not the reason she is an ex!), and she relented 10 years later after seeing how I would still look at any montorcycle that rides by.  Take care brother!

Thanks, Laughn.  I appreciate that.  It's actually a bit easier for me not being really close to any of the NMMR gang.  I consider every one of you my friends, but I'm going to lay low on the moto scene once I get the bikes and gear sold.

Remember buddy, you always have a place to stay if you make it anywhere near Farmington.  I'd still like to get together before you move if possible. [thumbsup]
