Title: Oil light on in the rain?
Post by: K3V1N on October 01, 2010, 02:07:51 PM
I was returned from a trip yesterday and ended up doing a 450 mile ride in the rain from VA to CT. After the bike was very wet the oil pressure light came on. It was lighter than on start up. Since everything sounded good and the my oil temp stayed the same at 130 due to the cold and wet conditions I just figured there was water in the sensor.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is there anything else I should check? If I seal the wires around the sensor could it prevent this from happening in the future?

Thanks for any feedback.

Happens to all of them.

Waterproofing it better probably would help

Dry out the connector and it back together with dielectric grease.
