Title: GIRO DEL MONDO IN 80 DOC Post by: SuPerHomO on October 02, 2010, 03:53:33 AM Hello Mr. President, hello there members of this DOC club.
My name is Enzo Fico, Ducati Dreams Club DOC of Naples vice-president, and I'm writing to you to let you know about Paolo Pirozzi adventure around the world. Paolo left on the 13th of June from WDW2010 riding a Ducati Multistrada 1200 to go "out and about" for a year and touch all the 5 continents and meet the partners of many DOC clubs in the world. This adventure, called "Giro del Mondo in 80 DOC/World Tour in 80 DOCs", should end in June 2011, after covering about 100.000 Km/62.000 miles all alone. The budget (very lean about 80 euros per day) is intended for fuel, pay-toll roads, sea and air travels, maybe a snack and a beer of course. He can't sleep in hotels, except on few occasions of being holded by the Ducati fan of the day, therefore he sleeps in a tent, under the stars... Paolo is not mad, he's not a hero nor an ironman, but you can ask the president of your club what Paolo is made of. You can follow his tour through the stories and videos that he posts, in English too, on www.paolopirozzi.com (http://www.paolopirozzi.com) . The only thing he wants is to read your comments to his stories, but be sure to write them only if the stories got you excited after reading. These comments will be Paolo's energy to charge his batteries every time he'll face the music. There have been so many problems, I can assure you, and many others will come as far as Paolo comes back. For further informations you can get in touch personally with me by PM or by mail. I'll update this post every news item that will be added to the website. Best wishes Title: Re: GIRO DEL MONDO IN 80 DOC Post by: Porsche Monkey on October 02, 2010, 09:26:39 AM [popcorn]

Your screen name doesn't make you that. Title: Re: GIRO DEL MONDO IN 80 DOC Post by: justinrhenry on October 03, 2010, 03:28:34 PM 80 euros per day doesn't seem like a lean budget to me.

Title: Re: GIRO DEL MONDO IN 80 DOC Post by: ducpainter on October 04, 2010, 03:02:28 AM Do you think that we could try to be adult enough to keep this somewhere near topic.

(per mod's suggestion) Good luck with the journey! Title: Re: GIRO DEL MONDO IN 80 DOC Post by: xcaptainxbloodx on October 05, 2010, 07:47:31 PM hey man! well see you oct 30th at motocorsa!

Paulo doesn't speak english fluently but i have to tell you ,it was fun!well worth the two beers i spent on the guy:-) I tried following him through his site but the damn thing is Italian! Ciao:-) Title: Re: GIRO DEL MONDO IN 80 DOC Post by: ducatiz on October 31, 2010, 07:11:43 AM I'm not sure your screenname means what you think it means. Maybe it does mean what he thinks it means and just has brass balls. kudos to him.. I would buy this guy (paolo) dinner if he was coming near DC. guy is out there living the dream, imho. furthest i've done on a road trip was 6 months and 12k miles, but that was in a vw camper bus (a type 1, not a poopoo type 4) Title: Re: GIRO DEL MONDO IN 80 DOC Post by: ducpainter on October 31, 2010, 07:24:57 AM Maybe it does mean what he thinks it means and just has brass balls. kudos to him.. maybe. ;)I would buy this guy (paolo) dinner if he was coming near DC. guy is out there living the dream, imho. furthest i've done on a road trip was 6 months and 12k miles, but that was in a vw camper bus (a type 1, not a poopoo type 4) Exactly. I'll have to get a hold of Ducati Scottsdale on Tuesday to see if anything is being planned for his arrival. I see he's also going up to Flagstaff..I assume he's heading through Sedona and up to the Grand Canyon. I'd like to ride up that way with him..if it's possible?!
