Title: Battery part number? 97 M750
Post by: Mike Qube on October 03, 2010, 01:57:17 PM
I need a new battery, I'm replacing a Interstate CycleTron battery thats been in there since I go the bike. I cant seem to find any sort of part number on it. Does anyone know what is compatible for a 97 M750?

Thanks!

I just got a YB16AL-A2 from AutoZone. I found a bunch of online coupons and did the pay online/pickup in-store thing and got it for $32.97!

That's a great price if it's a Yuasa. [thumbsup]

If you take care of it it will last 5-6 years.

[laugh] Oh no it's not a Yuasa.  I've been running it for at least 5 years.  Make sure you check the acid levels from time to time - mine has been almost dry, several times!  Always starts like a champ.

You might want to check your charging voltage.

Ha!  You say to the guy that's had new timing belts sitting on a shelf for 6 months now...  I can actually tell when the levels are low by the starter going a bit more slowly.  I was rather concerned about the AutoZone battery melting, but 5+ years on and it's great, and I've only filled it up twice.  Funny except for the filling hole caps it looks exactly like the OEM Yuasa.
