For $130,000 you get the heart of a new C6 Corvette wrapped in a all the sexy goodness of a split window Sting Ray.
Though the price is a bit steep, it's got some sweet styling cues. [thumbsup]
THAT is just drop dead SEXY!
Here's a few more shots:

Idk, from the front it looks a bit ricey, almost like a 240sx. The back is perfect though

Camaro/Vette combo.
No me gusta!
the back and 3/4 view is great the front 3/4 view is sorta ok.. but its definitely a good take off of the original in a way,
SEXY!!!
The caboose is nice, the front only works from certain angles. If they used flip-up headlights -which might have been another nice retro touch- it probably would have cleaned up the front bumper/grille area a bit.
Their heart is in the right place, their model years of inspiration are my favorite Vettes.

I agree.
What's going on these days? Hollywood is doing nothing but remakes and now the car companies too. Why doesn't anyone try anything new?
Oh, and here's an idea. If you are gonna do a revamp why not try to make it as close to the original as possible. There are a lot of people who would have loved to own a '63 Stingray and probably would still love to.
I'm sure a lot of people are buying the "remake" cars due to some form of nostalgia rather than luxury.

I agree. The flip-up headlights would have been a nice touch and cleaned up the front end.

My DMF brethren are in perfect sync with my thought process today. [thumbsup]

You wouldn't rather have a big block?
the '62 has always been my favorite model year.

Followed closely by the bad-to-the-bone '63 split window.
I love the '63-'67 Vettes!! As cool as the '63 split window is I would love to have a '66-'67 427 Turbo-Jet with factory lake pipes!! [thumbsup] Oh... and make it Trophy Blue with black interior. Thank you very much. ;D

it might be one, big blocks could be had in them until '74 or thereabouts
Motor doesn't really matter to me.. I'm just talking about body style.. id throw my 4 banger in there (company tht works on our cars actually put there 2.8 stroker version of ours in a nova, twin turbo at that)... any of those body style stingrays from there on i would love to have..

They couldn't be had under the small block hood in the pic he posted though.
;)

I'm not an expert on C3s Mr. Picky ;)
If you can throw a small block in Miata then you can fit one in anything.

Might want to up that to a V12

Nope.. Don't like it one bit. Reminds me of the kit that came out for the C5's a while back that made it look similar to a 53 I believe..

That's *clearly* modeled after a 54, not a 53. :P

How could I have been so foolish to not see that when I first looked. Its SO obvious! My mistake. Thanks for showing me the light. [bang]

I've seen one on the street and I have to admit...it does look much better in person!
Hell. even the Lady standing next to it doesn't seem overly impressed
[cheeky]
Nicely done. They tried to modernize the '63-'67 Vettes and did a good job.
Not perfect, but to make something DOT legal these days, well...it just ain't 1967 anymore.
I like it. If I were stupid rich, I'd probably test-drive one.
Lastly, a place to put my thoughts on the Corvette: It died in 1968 for me as far as body styling goes. Plain and simple. I'll take ANY Corvette made before 1968. The Sting-Ray Vette's of 1968 and onward just did it in for me. But I'm not you, and you may like them, and that's fine.

Hey whats wrong with 240s'? I have one for crying out loud!!! Where's the respect in this place! I tell ya!

Idk, I think you need to get in a newer corvette. I test drove a 2009 Z06 - AMAZING machine.

haha NOTHING! I just wouldn't want a vette that looked like one.
I thought by now we'd have a mid engine vette.

They tried twice that I'm aware of and the projects never came to fruition.

IIRC, there's been talk of a mid-engine Vette for nearly 40 years.
I think Corvette likes the transmission shaft thing that they got going on. They say it gives the car a better weight balance.
