Just looking for some feedback here. Earlier this week, I noticed the bottom mounting tab of my Hyper's left shroud is snapped off, and the little factory tool kit almost slipped out the bottom. I did some research on the Hypermotard page at Ducati.ms, and it seems quite a few people have the same exact problem. I'd like to bring this in as a warranty item... but as you all have probably read, I dropped the bike a couple weeks ago. (I dropped it on the right side, and it's the left shroud's tab that is snapped off.) I can't honestly say if the tab was broken before or as a result of the drop, but the shroud shows no other signs of damage.
All that being said, do you think I would be wasting my time trying to get Ducati to replace it? I wouldn't even consider it if it was the side that hit the deck...
Sounds like it's time to bring in a modest quantity of beverages
(preferably around quitting time)
and have some casual conversation with your dealer... ;)
Good Luck! [thumbsup]
All I know is that the tool kit sucks.

It
is a Ducati tool kit. It's supposed to suck.
The 1098 "toolkit" has tools that fit
NOTHING on the bike.
