Title: Cornerspin October 2010
Post by: brix821 on October 11, 2010, 06:15:06 PM
My pop and I attended cornerspin this weekend.  Cornerspin is a sort of sister to school to Aaron Stevensons Cornerspeed school.  Prior to this weekend my dirtbike experience was extremely limited, nd now I wish I could go and train every day!  I will post some pics and write a bit more in depth review, but I am tired, sore and bruised to shit!

but I'll bet it was the most fun you've ever had with less than 10 hp and made ya feel like you were riding with your hair on fire at a whopping 15-18mph...

the last 3 years, I have done his C'Spin class as a tune up for the coming season in March/April neighborhood...me and dolci and my sister...I can't say enough good things about the class...glad you did it!

I almost went this November with some friends but I did not have enough $$.  I have zero dirt bike experience.  I hope I can save some $ for the March one.  Let's see the pics.

get off the brake and GAS GAS GAS GAS.......( I say that because you don't have it layed over enough to be doing the Mike Dillon  flattrack slide around the apex technique)...

just messin with ya!...you look good!...Aaron got that shot good from at the top of the hill goin into that turn...looks silty still and not all chunked and grooved!  [thumbsup]

the great thing about this class...you need ZERO dirt experience...in fact, I think dirt experience would be a little detrimental as you'de have to go through breaking more habits in the 1st half of day 1...but it is WELL worth it in my opinion for what you'll gain for the street(or track) from this class...a few weekends ago, I was going into a turn and lil too hot and trailbraking a lil too much for to try and correct my misjudged entry speed and the front started talking to me LOUDLY (I know brix'll get the reference) and before I responded, the front started to slide on me...luckily, GAS GAS GAS GAS saved my bacon...

Wow, looking good out there.  Yeah, I heard to expect to go down several times.  Hope the hurt is not too bad  :'(

If I can ask, what did it end up costing for the two days?  did that include lodging ?

Yep, when in doubt, gas gas gas !  I know it in theory, hope I never forget it when necessary and it becomes instinctive.  I've had to do a few times.

outside of the class ( 500ish, but they provide bikes), it was $50 for gear and there is a hotel that offers a rate of $75 per night for cornerspin students

well...generally, if you are padded up..no...muscle soreness is another story all together!

the class is $500 which includes bike and lunchs and beverages and snacks and so forth...gear rental ( if needed is additional) is generally available, just email or call ahead of time with your sizes for to confirm availability...overnight lodging is also additional, but there are some places to stay in Lexington for not to bad $$$ wise...
